تستعد محافظة جدة لموسم الأمطار بخطط استباقية، وإجراءات ميدانية لتعزيز سرعة الاستجابة للحالات المطرية، والحد من آثار تجمّعات المياه، بالتزامن مع رفع جاهزية القطاعات المشاركة والفرق والمعدات وشبكات تصريف مياه الأمطار.
وفي هذا الإطار، عقدت لجنة الأمطار بأمانة محافظة جدة، اجتماعاً لمتابعة الاستعدادات المبكرة، ومراجعة جاهزية القطاعات وأدوارها ضمن الخطة التنفيذية، وآليات التنسيق والتكامل لضمان كفاءة الاستجابة الميدانية.
وتضمّنت الاستعدادات متابعة المواقع التي قد تتأثر بتجمّعات المياه، واتخاذ الإجراءات الاستباقية لمعالجتها، إلى جانب استمرار أعمال صيانة واختبار شبكات تصريف مياه الأمطار، والتأكد من جاهزية الفرق والمعدات.
كما تشمل الخطة تكثيف التوعية المجتمعية ونشر الرسائل الإرشادية المتعلقة بإجراءات السلامة والاحتياطات الواجب اتباعها قبل الحالات المطرية وأثناءها، فيما تواصل البلديات الفرعية الرقابة على المباني تحت الإنشاء والأراضي الفضاء، ومعالجة الملاحظات وردم الحفر وإلزام الملاك والمقاولين باشتراطات السلامة. وتعزّز أمانة جدة جاهزيتها من خلال تنفيذ فرضيات وتمارين ميدانية على مدار العام بمشاركة القطاعات المعنية؛ بهدف قياس الجاهزية، واختبار سرعة الاستجابة، ورفع كفاءة التنسيق، وتطوير الخطط الميدانية ومعالجة الملاحظات.
The Jeddah Governorate is preparing for the rainy season with proactive plans and field measures to enhance the speed of response to rainy conditions and reduce the impacts of water accumulation, in conjunction with raising the readiness of participating sectors, teams, equipment, and rainwater drainage networks.
In this context, the Rain Committee at the Jeddah Governorate held a meeting to follow up on early preparations, review the readiness of sectors and their roles within the executive plan, and discuss coordination and integration mechanisms to ensure efficient field response.
The preparations included monitoring locations that may be affected by water accumulation and taking proactive measures to address them, along with ongoing maintenance and testing of rainwater drainage networks, and ensuring the readiness of teams and equipment.
The plan also includes intensifying community awareness and disseminating guidance messages related to safety procedures and precautions to be followed before and during rainy conditions, while the sub-municipalities continue to monitor buildings under construction and vacant lands, addressing observations, filling in holes, and ensuring that owners and contractors comply with safety requirements. The Jeddah Municipality enhances its readiness by conducting simulations and field exercises throughout the year with the participation of relevant sectors; aiming to measure readiness, test response speed, improve coordination efficiency, and develop field plans while addressing observations.
