عقدت الهيئة العامة لمجلس الشورى، برئاسة رئيس المجلس الشيخ الدكتور عبدالله محمد آل الشيخ، اجتماعها الأول من أعمال السنة الثالثة للدورة التاسعة، في مقر المجلس بالرياض، ووافقت على إحالة 48 موضوعاً إلى جدول أعمال الجلسات القادمة.
وشملت الموضوعات تقارير سنوية لرئاسة الشؤون الدينية بالمسجد الحرام والمسجد النبوي، وصندوق التنمية الصناعية السعودي، وبنك التصدير والاستيراد السعودي، وصندوق تنمية الموارد البشرية، وجامعة حفر الباطن، وصندوق التنمية الثقافي، إلى جانب مشروعات أنظمة تمهيداً لعرضها تحت قبة المجلس.
كما وافقت الهيئة على إحالة عدد من مشروعات مذكرات التفاهم والتعاون والاتفاقيات مع عدد من الدول الشقيقة والصديقة في مجالات مختلفة.
وتختص الهيئة العامة بوضع الخطة العامة للمجلس ولجانه، وإقرار جدول أعمال الجلسات، والتأكد من النواحي الإجرائية لتقارير اللجان، إلى جانب اختصاصات أخرى نصت عليها قواعد وإجراءات عمل المجلس ولائحته الداخلية.
The General Authority of the Shura Council, chaired by the Council President Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Muhammad Al Sheikh, held its first meeting of the third year of the ninth session at the Council's headquarters in Riyadh, and approved the referral of 48 topics to the agenda of upcoming sessions.
The topics included annual reports from the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, the Saudi Industrial Development Fund, the Saudi Export-Import Bank, the Human Resources Development Fund, Hafr Al-Batin University, and the Cultural Development Fund, in addition to draft regulations to be presented under the dome of the Council.
The authority also approved the referral of several draft memoranda of understanding, cooperation, and agreements with a number of brotherly and friendly countries in various fields.
The General Authority is responsible for setting the overall plan for the Council and its committees, approving the agenda for sessions, and ensuring the procedural aspects of committee reports, along with other competencies stipulated in the Council's rules and procedures and its internal regulations.
