تجدد المملكة العربية السعودية في اليوم الدولي للعمل الخيري، الذي يصادف 5 سبتمبر من كل عام، حضورها الإنساني العالمي، مستندة إلى سجل حافل بالعطاء شمل أكثر من 9,030 مشروعًا إنسانيًا وتنمويًا وخيريًا في 175 دولة، بقيمة تجاوزت 145 مليار دولار.
ويبرز مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية، الذي أنشئ في 13 مايو 2015، بتوجيه من خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، بوصفه الذراع الإنسانية للمملكة خارجيًا، إذ نفذ منذ تأسيسه 4,457 مشروعًا في 113 دولة تجاوزت قيمتها 8 مليارات دولار. وامتد العطاء السعودي إلى العمل التطوعي عبر «البوابة السعودية للتطوع الخارجي»، بمشاركة 84,388 متطوعًا في 1,446 برنامجًا، استفاد منها نحو 2.86 مليون شخص في 59 دولة، إلى جانب إجراء أكثر من 273 ألف عملية جراحية.
وحقق البرنامج السعودي للتوائم الملتصقة إنجازات نوعية، بدراسة 158 حالة وإجراء 72 عملية ناجحة لتوائم من 28 دولة في خمس قارات، فيما اعتمدت الأمم المتحدة عام 2024م 24 نوفمبر يومًا عالميًا للتوائم الملتصقة بمبادرة سعودية.
وتعزز هذا الحضور بحصول المملكة على المرتبة الثانية عالميًا والأولى عربيًا بين الدول المانحة للمساعدات الإنسانية والإغاثية لعام 2025م، وفق منصة التتبع المالي للأمم المتحدة.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia renews its global humanitarian presence on the International Day of Charity, which falls on September 5 each year, relying on a rich record of giving that includes more than 9,030 humanitarian, developmental, and charitable projects in 175 countries, with a value exceeding 145 billion dollars.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, established on May 13, 2015, under the guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, stands out as the Kingdom's humanitarian arm abroad, having implemented 4,457 projects in 113 countries since its inception, with a total value exceeding 8 billion dollars. Saudi contributions have also extended to volunteer work through the "Saudi Portal for External Volunteering," with the participation of 84,388 volunteers in 1,446 programs, benefiting approximately 2.86 million people in 59 countries, in addition to conducting more than 273,000 surgical operations.
The Saudi program for conjoined twins has achieved significant milestones, studying 158 cases and successfully performing 72 operations on twins from 28 countries across five continents, while the United Nations has designated November 24, 2024, as World Conjoined Twins Day at the initiative of Saudi Arabia.
This presence is further strengthened by the Kingdom's ranking as the second globally and the first Arab country among donor nations for humanitarian and relief aid for the year 2025, according to the United Nations Financial Tracking Service.
