وقّعت المملكة، ممثلة بهيئة الرقابة ومكافحة الفساد، اتفاق تبادل المعلومات بين أعضاء شبكة العمليات العالمية لسلطات إنفاذ القانون المعنية بمكافحة الفساد «غلوب إي» (GlobE Network)، وذلك على هامش الاجتماع العام السابع للشبكة المنعقد في مقر الأمم المتحدة بمدينة فيينا.
وأكد رئيس الهيئة مازن إبراهيم الكهموس، أن الاتفاق يعزّز كفاءة التعاون الدولي، ويسهّل ويسرّع التبادل الآمن للمعلومات، بما يدعم جهود كشف جرائم الفساد والتحقيق فيها وملاحقة مرتكبيها واسترداد الأصول المنهوبة.
ورفع الكهموس الشكر لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، على ما تحظى به الهيئة من دعم ورعاية لمبادراتها في حماية النزاهة ومكافحة الفساد وتعزيز التعاون الدولي.
وتأتي الاتفاقية امتداداً لدور المملكة في تأسيس «غلوب إي»، التي أطلقت تحت مظلة الأمم المتحدة عام 2021م، بعد مبادرة سعودية خلال رئاسة المملكة لمجموعة العشرين عام 2020 لإنشاء شبكة ومنصة آمنة لتبادل المعلومات بين أجهزة إنفاذ القانون المعنية بمكافحة الفساد.
وتضم الشبكة حالياً 252 جهازاً من 137 دولة، إضافة إلى أكثر من 16 منظمة بصفة عضو مراقب، فيما تتولى المملكة رئاستها للفترة 2025–2027م.
The Kingdom, represented by the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, signed a memorandum of information exchange among members of the Global Operations Network for Law Enforcement Authorities concerned with combating corruption, "GlobE Network," on the sidelines of the seventh general meeting of the network held at the United Nations headquarters in Vienna.
The Chairman of the Authority, Mazen Ibrahim Al-Kahmous, confirmed that the agreement enhances the efficiency of international cooperation and facilitates and accelerates the secure exchange of information, supporting efforts to uncover, investigate, and prosecute corruption crimes and recover stolen assets.
Al-Kahmous expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for the support and care the Authority receives for its initiatives in protecting integrity, combating corruption, and enhancing international cooperation.
This agreement comes as an extension of the Kingdom's role in establishing "GlobE," which was launched under the umbrella of the United Nations in 2021, following a Saudi initiative during the Kingdom's presidency of the G20 in 2020 to create a secure network and platform for information exchange among law enforcement agencies concerned with combating corruption.
The network currently includes 252 agencies from 137 countries, in addition to more than 16 organizations as observer members, while the Kingdom will preside over it from 2025 to 2027.
