تواصل أمانة منطقة نجران أعمالها في مشروع درء أخطار السيول بمغرة، إذ بلغت نسبة الإنجاز 93%، وذلك ضمن جهودها المستمرة في تطوير شبكات التصريف وتعزيز جاهزية البنية التحتية للتعامل مع مياه الأمطار والسيول.
وتضمنت أعمال المشروع إنشاء حوض تجميع بعقبة مغرة، إلى جانب قنوات صندوقية وقنوات مفتوحة وجدران ساندة، بهدف تجميع مياه السيول وإعادة توجيهها وتصريفها إلى وادي نجران، بما يسهم في تعزيز كفاءة منظومة تصريف مياه الأمطار ورفع مستوى الحماية والسلامة في المناطق المستفيدة.
كما شهدت الأعمال المنفذة إنجاز حفريات الحوض التجميعي، الذي تبلغ سعته التخزينية 14000م³ إلى جانب تنفيذ القنوات الصندوقية للمسار الرئيسي بطول 2000م والانتهاء من تنفيذ قناة مفتوحة بطول 300م وجدار ساند بطول 650م، إضافة إلى تنفيذ عدد من المناهل والمصائد بدوار مغرة.
وأوضح المتحدث باسم أمانة نجران عبدالله آل فاضل أن المشروع يأتي ضمن حزمة من المشاريع التنموية التي تنفذها الأمانة لرفع كفاءة البنية التحتية وتعزيز منظومة تصريف مياه الأمطار والحد من مخاطر السيول، مؤكداً استمرار الأعمال لاستكمال المشروع وفق المواصفات والمعايير المعتمدة، بما يسهم في تحقيق مستهدفات الأمانة في تحسين مستوى الخدمات البلدية وتعزيز جودة الحياة في المنطقة.
The Municipality of Najran continues its work on the flood risk mitigation project in Maghara, with a completion rate of 93%. This is part of its ongoing efforts to develop drainage networks and enhance the readiness of infrastructure to manage rainwater and floods.
The project includes the construction of a collection basin at the Maghara pass, in addition to box channels, open channels, and retaining walls, aimed at collecting floodwaters and redirecting and draining them into Wadi Najran, which contributes to enhancing the efficiency of the rainwater drainage system and increasing the level of protection and safety in the benefiting areas.
The executed works also included the completion of excavations for the collection basin, which has a storage capacity of 14,000 m³, along with the implementation of box channels for the main route with a length of 2,000 m, and the completion of an open channel with a length of 300 m and a retaining wall with a length of 650 m, in addition to the execution of several manholes and traps at the Maghara roundabout.
Abdullah Al-Fadhil, the spokesperson for the Najran Municipality, explained that the project is part of a package of development projects being implemented by the municipality to enhance the efficiency of infrastructure and improve the rainwater drainage system while reducing flood risks, confirming the continuation of work to complete the project according to the approved specifications and standards, which contributes to achieving the municipality's objectives in improving the level of municipal services and enhancing the quality of life in the region.
