عقد وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، ووزير خارجية اليابان توشيميتسو موتيجي، في الرياض، أمس، اجتماع الحوار الإستراتيجي الثالث بين المملكة واليابان، مؤكدين أهمية العلاقات الراسخة بين البلدين وسبل تعزيزها في مختلف المجالات.
وأكد الأمير فيصل بن فرحان، أن المملكة تولي أهمية كبيرة لشراكتها مع اليابان، مشيراً إلى فرص واعدة لتوسيع التعاون في الاستثمار والطاقة والموارد وسلاسل الإمداد والدفاع والتقنية، وتبادل الخبرات والقدرات.
وشدد على أهمية تعزيز الأمن البحري وحماية حرية الملاحة في الممرات المائية الدولية، وضرورة بقاء مضيقي هرمز وباب المندب وجميع الممرات البحرية مفتوحة وآمنة وخالية من التهديدات.
وأكد وزير الخارجية، استمرار المملكة في جهود خفض التصعيد ومنع تجدد التوترات والصراعات، عبر الحلول الدبلوماسية الشاملة والمستدامة، مثمناً دور اليابان في دعم القانون الدولي وإسهاماتها الإنسانية والتنموية ومواقفها الداعمة للاستقرار والحلول السلمية.
Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and Japan's Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi held the third strategic dialogue meeting between the Kingdom and Japan in Riyadh yesterday, emphasizing the importance of the strong relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in various fields.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan affirmed that the Kingdom places great importance on its partnership with Japan, pointing to promising opportunities to expand cooperation in investment, energy, resources, supply chains, defense, technology, and the exchange of expertise and capabilities.
He stressed the importance of enhancing maritime security and protecting freedom of navigation in international waterways, and the necessity of keeping the Strait of Hormuz, Bab el-Mandeb, and all maritime passages open, safe, and free from threats.
The Foreign Minister confirmed the Kingdom's continued efforts to de-escalate tensions and prevent the resurgence of conflicts through comprehensive and sustainable diplomatic solutions, appreciating Japan's role in supporting international law and its humanitarian and developmental contributions, as well as its positions supporting stability and peaceful solutions.
