أظهرت نتائج مسح صحة المرأة والطفل للعام 2025، أن نسبة الولادات التي أشرف عليها مختصون صحيون مهرة في السعودية بلغت 99.9%، فيما تلقت جميع الأمهات المشمولات بمؤشر رعاية ما قبل الولادة زيارة واحدة على الأقل لأحد مقدمي الرعاية الصحية قبل ولادة آخر طفل.
وكشف رصد «عكاظ» لبيانات الهيئة العامة للإحصاء أن 89.56% من الأمهات أجرين أربع زيارات على الأقل خلال فترة الحمل، بمتوسط بلغ 7.83 زيارة.
وسجلت متابعة الحمل بأربع زيارات على الأقل 95.02% لدى الأمهات بين 20 و24 عامًا، و89.57% للفئة بين 25 و29 عامًا، و88.01% بين 30 و34 عامًا، و88.78% بين 35 و39 عامًا.
وبيّنت النتائج، أن الأطباء والطبيبات أشرفوا على 96.1% من إجمالي الولادات، فيما بلغت نسبة إشراف الممرضات 2.5%، والقابلات أو الدايات 1.4%، ومختصين آخرين 0.1%.
وبلغت نسبة الولادات التي تمت في المستشفيات الحكومية 68.23%، مقابل 30.28% في المستشفيات الخاصة، و1.1% في المراكز الصحية الحكومية، و0.25% في المراكز الصحية الخاصة، فيما لم تتجاوز الولادات خارج المنشآت الصحية، مثل المنزل أو السيارة، 0.14%. واستقبلت المستشفيات الحكومية 82.83% من ولادات السعوديات، مقابل 16.16% في المستشفيات الخاصة. أما ولادات غير السعوديات، فبلغت نسبتها في المستشفيات الخاصة 58.65%، مقابل 38.91% في المستشفيات الحكومية. وأظهرت البيانات، أن 66.41% من الأمهات مكثن في المنشأة الصحية 12 ساعة أو أكثر بعد الولادة، وبلغت النسبة بين السعوديات 68.97%، مقابل 61.26% بين غير السعوديات.
وفي مرحلة ما بعد الولادة، خضعت 79.83% من الأمهات لتقييم حالتهن الصحية من مقدم رعاية صحية، أثناء الإقامة في المنشأة الصحية أو في المنزل، خلال اليومين التاليين لولادة آخر طفل.
كما خضع 83.81% من المواليد لفحص صحي خلال أول 48 ساعة، وبلغت النسبة بين مواليد السعوديات 85.3%، مقابل 80.83% بين مواليد غير السعوديات. وأفادت 98.39% من الأمهات بتجفيف مواليدهن بعد الولادة، فيما ذكرت 72.55% منهن حدوث ملامسة مباشرة بين جلد المولود وجلد صدر الأم أو بطنها عقب الولادة. وبلغت نسبة الأمهات اللاتي بدأن إرضاع أطفالهن طبيعيًا خلال الساعة الأولى من الولادة 59.79%، وارتفعت بين السعوديات إلى 60.64%، مقابل 57.86% بين غير السعوديات. كما بلغت نسبة المواليد الذين تلقوا رضاعة طبيعية خلال اليوم السابق لوقت سؤال الأم 81.97%.
وأظهرت النتائج، أن 15.56% من المواليد كان وزنهم أقل من 2.5 كيلوغرام عند الولادة، فيما أفادت 0.23% من الأمهات بأن وزن أطفالهن لم يُقس عند الولادة، وقالت 3.28%، إنهن لا يتذكرن ذلك.
واعتمدت الهيئة في إعداد هذه المؤشرات على نتائج مسح صحة المرأة والطفل لعام 2025، الذي شمل عينة قدرها 44,953 أسرة في مناطق المملكة الـ13، ونُفذ خلال الفترة من 24 يونيو حتى 30 يوليو 2025. وتستند تقديرات مؤشرات الولادة إلى الإفادات الذاتية للمشاركات اللاتي انطبقت عليهن أسئلة الحمل والإنجاب.
The results of the 2025 Women and Child Health Survey showed that the percentage of births attended by skilled health professionals in Saudi Arabia reached 99.9%. All mothers included in the prenatal care indicator received at least one visit from a healthcare provider before the birth of their last child.
Data monitoring by "Okaz" revealed that 89.56% of mothers made at least four visits during their pregnancy, with an average of 7.83 visits.
The follow-up of pregnancies with at least four visits was recorded at 95.02% among mothers aged 20 to 24 years, 89.57% for the age group between 25 and 29 years, 88.01% between 30 and 34 years, and 88.78% between 35 and 39 years.
The results indicated that doctors supervised 96.1% of total births, while the supervision rate by nurses was 2.5%, midwives or doulas 1.4%, and other specialists 0.1%.
The percentage of births that took place in public hospitals was 68.23%, compared to 30.28% in private hospitals, 1.1% in public health centers, and 0.25% in private health centers, while births outside healthcare facilities, such as at home or in a car, did not exceed 0.14%. Public hospitals received 82.83% of Saudi births, compared to 16.16% in private hospitals. For non-Saudi births, the percentage in private hospitals was 58.65%, compared to 38.91% in public hospitals. The data showed that 66.41% of mothers stayed in the healthcare facility for 12 hours or more after giving birth, with the rate among Saudis being 68.97%, compared to 61.26% among non-Saudis.
In the postnatal phase, 79.83% of mothers underwent a health assessment from a healthcare provider during their stay in the healthcare facility or at home within the two days following the birth of their last child.
Additionally, 83.81% of newborns received a health check within the first 48 hours, with the rate among Saudi newborns being 85.3%, compared to 80.83% among non-Saudi newborns. 98.39% of mothers reported drying their newborns after birth, while 72.55% of them indicated direct skin-to-skin contact between the newborn's skin and the mother's chest or abdomen immediately after birth. The percentage of mothers who began breastfeeding their children naturally within the first hour of birth was 59.79%, which increased to 60.64% among Saudis, compared to 57.86% among non-Saudis. The percentage of newborns who received breastfeeding in the day prior to the mother's inquiry was 81.97%.
The results showed that 15.56% of newborns had a weight of less than 2.5 kilograms at birth, while 0.23% of mothers reported that their children's weight was not measured at birth, and 3.28% stated that they did not remember.
The authority relied on the results of the 2025 Women and Child Health Survey to prepare these indicators, which included a sample of 44,953 households across the 13 regions of the Kingdom, conducted from June 24 to July 30, 2025. The estimates of birth indicators are based on the self-reports of participants who met the criteria for pregnancy and childbirth questions.
