استقبل وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، في مقر الوزارة بالرياض اليوم، رئيس الوزراء وزير خارجية جمهورية كينيا الدكتور موساليا مودافادي.
وعقب الاستقبال، عقد وزير الخارجية ورئيس الوزراء وزير خارجية جمهورية كينيا الاجتماع الأول للجنة المشاورات السياسية السعودية الكينية؛ بهدف تطوير العلاقات بين البلدين الصديقين، ورفع مستوى التنسيق والتشاور بينهما بما يخدم مصالحهما المشتركة، ويسهم في دعم أمن المنطقة واستقرارها.
وفي ختام الاجتماع، تم التوقيع على ثلاث مذكرات تفاهم، هي:
- الأولى: مذكرة تفاهم في مجال تشجيع الاستثمار المباشر، وقّعها من الجانب السعودي وزير الاستثمار فهد عبدالجليل السيف، ومن الجانب الكيني رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجية الدكتور موساليا مودافادي.
- الثانية: مذكرة تفاهم حول التعاون والمساعدة المتبادلة في المسائل الجمركية، وقّعها من الجانب السعودي محافظ هيئة الزكاة والضريبة والجمارك المهندس سهيل بن محمد أبانمي، ومن الجانب الكيني رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجية الدكتور موساليا مودافادي.
- الثالثة: مذكرة تفاهم بين بنك التصدير والاستيراد السعودي ومؤسسة كينيا للتنمية، وقّعها من الجانب السعودي الرئيس التنفيذي لبنك التصدير والاستيراد السعودي المهندس سعد بن عبدالعزيز الخلب، ومن الجانب الكيني المدير العام لمؤسسة كينيا للتنمية الدكتورة نورا راتيمو.
كما تم التوقيع على اتفاقية بشأن استقدام وتوظيف العمالة الكينية، وقّعها من الجانب السعودي نائب وزير الموارد البشرية والتنمية الاجتماعية لقطاع العمل الدكتور عبدالله بن ناصر أبوثنين، ومن الجانب الكيني وزير العمل والحماية الاجتماعية الدكتور ألفريد نجانجا موتوا.
حضر الاجتماع نائب وزير الخارجية المهندس وليد الخريجي، ووكيل وزارة الخارجية للشؤون السياسية السفير الدكتور سعود الساطي، وسفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى جمهورية كينيا سعد النفيعي، ومدير عام الإدارة العامة للدول الأفريقية صقر القرشي.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, received today at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, Dr. Musalia Mudavadi.
Following the reception, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya held the first meeting of the Saudi-Kenyan Political Consultative Committee, aimed at developing relations between the two friendly countries, enhancing coordination and consultation between them to serve their common interests, and contributing to supporting the security and stability of the region.
At the conclusion of the meeting, three memorandums of understanding were signed, which are:
- First: A memorandum of understanding in the field of promoting direct investment, signed on the Saudi side by the Minister of Investment, Fahd Abduljalil Al-Saif, and on the Kenyan side by the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Musalia Mudavadi.
- Second: A memorandum of understanding regarding cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters, signed on the Saudi side by the Governor of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, Engineer Suhail bin Muhammad Abanami, and on the Kenyan side by the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Musalia Mudavadi.
- Third: A memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Export-Import Bank and the Kenya Development Corporation, signed on the Saudi side by the CEO of the Saudi Export-Import Bank, Engineer Saad bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalab, and on the Kenyan side by the Director General of the Kenya Development Corporation, Dr. Nora Ratemo.
An agreement regarding the recruitment and employment of Kenyan labor was also signed, with the Saudi side represented by the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Abuthnain, and on the Kenyan side by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Dr. Alfred Nganga Mutua.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Engineer Walid Al-Khereiji, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Kenya, Saad Al-Nafai, and the Director General of the General Administration of African Countries, Saqr Al-Qurashi.
