اختتمت مدينة جدة، أمس، أعمال النسخة الأولى من أسبوع المياه السعودي، بمشاركة دولية واسعة ضمت أكثر من 80 دولة، و20 وفدًا وزاريًا، وما يزيد على 2500 مشارك و180 متحدثًا دوليًا، عبر 97 فعالية وجلسة متخصصة و20 جناحًا مشاركًا، في خطوة عززت مكانة المملكة في قيادة الجهود الدولية بقطاع المياه، ومهدت الطريق لاستضافة المنتدى العالمي الحادي عشر للمياه في الرياض عام 2027.
وأوضحت وزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة، أن الأسبوع شكّل منصة دولية لتبادل الخبرات وبناء الشراكات بين صناع القرار والخبراء من مختلف دول العالم، لمناقشة أبرز قضايا المياه، واستعراض الحلول المتعلقة برفع كفاءة استخدام الموارد المائية، والحد من الهدر، وتعزيز الأمن المائي والاستدامة.
وشهد الحدث برنامجًا علميًا وفنيًا وسياسيًا مكثفًا، تضمن الاجتماعات التشاورية للمنتدى العالمي الحادي عشر للمياه والمنتدى العربي السابع للمياه، إلى جانب جلسات حوارية وورش عمل تناولت ملفات الحوكمة والتمويل والابتكار والإدارة المتكاملة للموارد المائية، إضافة إلى تعزيز دور الشباب في رسم مستقبل القطاع.
وأكدت الوزارة، أن مخرجات الأسبوع تمثل محطة محورية في مسار استعداد المملكة لاستضافة المنتدى العالمي للمياه في الرياض 2027م، عبر وضع خارطة طريق واضحة للانتقال من مرحلة الحوار إلى التنفيذ، بما يدعم التعاون الدولي ويعزز تبادل المعرفة والشراكات الفاعلة.
Jeddah concluded yesterday the first edition of the Saudi Water Week, with wide international participation that included more than 80 countries, 20 ministerial delegations, over 2,500 participants, and 180 international speakers, through 97 events and specialized sessions and 20 participating pavilions, in a step that enhanced the Kingdom's position in leading international efforts in the water sector and paved the way for hosting the 11th World Water Forum in Riyadh in 2027.
The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture stated that the week formed an international platform for exchanging experiences and building partnerships among decision-makers and experts from various countries around the world, to discuss the most prominent water issues and showcase solutions related to improving the efficiency of water resource use, reducing waste, and enhancing water security and sustainability.
The event featured an intensive scientific, technical, and political program, which included consultative meetings for the 11th World Water Forum and the 7th Arab Water Forum, in addition to panel discussions and workshops addressing governance, financing, innovation, and integrated water resource management, as well as enhancing the role of youth in shaping the future of the sector.
The ministry confirmed that the outcomes of the week represent a pivotal milestone in the Kingdom's preparations to host the World Water Forum in Riyadh in 2027, by establishing a clear roadmap for transitioning from dialogue to implementation, supporting international cooperation, and enhancing knowledge exchange and effective partnerships.
