وثّق البنك الدولي تجربة السعودية في توظيف الذكاء الاصطناعي في التعليم، مؤكداً أن مبادرة البيئة التجريبية للذكاء الاصطناعي في التعليم الرقمي (AI SandboX) تمثل نموذجاً وطنياً رائداً يمكن للدول والأنظمة التعليمية الاستفادة منه في تطوير الابتكار المسؤول وتعزيز جودة التعليم الرقمي.
جاء ذلك في دراسة أصدرها البنك الدولي بعنوان: «البيئة التجريبية للذكاء الاصطناعي في التعليم الرقمي في المملكة العربية السعودية: قيادة الأثر الاجتماعي والاقتصادي من خلال الابتكار في الذكاء الاصطناعي في التعليم»، استعرضت فيها التجربة السعودية بوصفها نموذجاً متكاملاً يجمع التجريب العملي، وبناء القدرات والحوكمة، وتنسيق منظومة الابتكار ضمن منصة وطنية يقودها المركز الوطني للتعليم الإلكتروني.
وأكدت الدراسة أن المبادرة تسهم في دعم جودة التعليم الرقمي، وتنمية القدرات البشرية، وتعزيز جاهزية القوى الوطنية، إلى جانب تمكين المؤسسات والمبتكرين من تطوير واختبار حلول الذكاء الاصطناعي في بيئات تعليمية واقعية وآمنة، بما يواكب مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030، ويعظم الأثر الاجتماعي والاقتصادي للابتكار في التعليم.
وأشارت الدراسة إلى أن التجربة السعودية تتجاوز مفهوم اختبار التقنيات، لتوفر بيئة تدعم إنتاج المعرفة المبنية على الأدلة، وتعزز الشراكات، وتسرّع تبني الابتكار المسؤول، بما يسهم في بناء منظومة مستدامة للذكاء الاصطناعي في التعليم.
وخلصت الدراسة إلى أن التجربة السعودية أرست أساساً قوياً يمكن البناء عليه، بما يؤهلها لتكون مرجعاً إقليمياً ودولياً في الابتكار المسؤول القائم على الأدلة.
يُذكر أن البيئة التجريبية للذكاء الاصطناعي في التعليم الرقمي «AI SandboX» التي يقودها المركز الوطني للتعليم الإلكتروني، تُنفّذ ضمن منظومة وطنية متكاملة وبالشراكة مع عددٍ من الجهات الحكومية، ومن أبرزها: وزارة التعليم، ووزارة الموارد البشرية والتنمية الاجتماعية، ووزارة الاستثمار، وهيئة تنمية البحث والتطوير والابتكار، والهيئة السعودية للبيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي «سدايا»، وهيئة الحكومة الرقمية، إذ أسهم هذا التكامل في مواءمة المبادرة مع الأولويات الوطنية في التعليم والمهارات والابتكار والتحول الرقمي، وتمكين الجهات والمبتكرين من تطوير حلول الذكاء الاصطناعي واختبارها في بيئات تعليمية واقعية وآمنة، بما يعزّز حضور المملكة بوصفها نموذجاً دولياً في الابتكار المسؤول في التعليم.
The World Bank documented Saudi Arabia's experience in employing artificial intelligence in education, affirming that the AI SandboX initiative represents a pioneering national model that countries and educational systems can benefit from in developing responsible innovation and enhancing the quality of digital education.
This was stated in a study released by the World Bank titled: "The AI Sandbox for Digital Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Leading Social and Economic Impact through Innovation in AI in Education," which reviewed the Saudi experience as a comprehensive model that combines practical experimentation, capacity building, governance, and coordination of the innovation ecosystem within a national platform led by the National Center for E-Learning.
The study confirmed that the initiative contributes to supporting the quality of digital education, developing human capabilities, and enhancing the readiness of national forces, in addition to empowering institutions and innovators to develop and test AI solutions in real and safe educational environments, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and maximizing the social and economic impact of innovation in education.
The study pointed out that the Saudi experience goes beyond the concept of testing technologies, providing an environment that supports the production of evidence-based knowledge, enhances partnerships, and accelerates the adoption of responsible innovation, contributing to building a sustainable ecosystem for AI in education.
The study concluded that the Saudi experience has established a strong foundation that can be built upon, qualifying it to be a regional and international reference in evidence-based responsible innovation.
It is noteworthy that the AI Sandbox for Digital Education, led by the National Center for E-Learning, is implemented within an integrated national system in partnership with several government entities, including: the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Ministry of Investment, the Research, Development and Innovation Authority, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority "SDAIA," and the Digital Government Authority. This integration has contributed to aligning the initiative with national priorities in education, skills, innovation, and digital transformation, enabling entities and innovators to develop and test AI solutions in real and safe educational environments, thereby enhancing the Kingdom's presence as an international model for responsible innovation in education.
