في خطوة نوعية تعكس توجّه الجامعة نحو إعداد جيل قادر على المنافسة عالمياً، وتمثيل المملكة العربية السعودية في المحافل الأكاديمية الدولية، يغادر 35 طالباً وطالبة من جامعة الإمام عبدالرحمن بن فيصل خلال صيف 2026 إلى عدد من أبرز الجامعات العالمية في ست دول، ضمن النسخة الأولى من برنامج التبادل الطلابي الدولي.
وأكد رئيس الجامعة الأستاذ الدكتور فهد الحربي أن إطلاق البرنامج يجسّد التزام الجامعة بتوفير فرص تعليمية عالمية تثري التجربة الأكاديمية للطلبة، وتسهم في إعداد كوادر وطنية مؤهلة تمتلك المهارات والمعارف اللازمة للمنافسة على المستوى الدولي، مشيراً إلى أن البرنامج يأتي امتداداً لنهج الجامعة في بناء شراكات أكاديمية دولية مستدامة، وتعزيز المهارات البحثية والتطبيقية، بما ينسجم مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
من جانبه، أوضح نائب رئيس الجامعة للشؤون الأكاديمية الدكتور عبدالله المهيدب أن البرنامج يضم 35 طالباً وطالبة من كليات طب الأسنان، الهندسة، علوم الحاسب وتقنية المعلومات، إدارة الأعمال، والعمارة والتخطيط، سيتوزعون على جامعات ومؤسسات أكاديمية في المملكة المتحدة، والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، والسويد، وإسبانيا، وأستراليا، والنرويج، خلال الفصل الصيفي، بهدف إكسابهم خبرات أكاديمية وثقافية متنوعة، وتمكينهم من المشاركة في مشاريع بحثية وتطبيقية تعزّز جاهزيتهم للمنافسة محلياً ودولياً، لافتاً إلى تنوع البرامج بين مسارات بحثية وأكاديمية وتدريبية تمتد من أسبوعين إلى ثمانية أسابيع، بما يجعل البرنامج انطلاقة نحو بناء مسار مؤسسي مستدام للتبادل الطلابي الدولي.
يجمع ثلاثة من طلبة كلية العمارة والتخطيط (أسامة البلوي، فارس الحنفوش وأحمد العبدالهادي) على هدف واحد يتمثل في الاستفادة من التجارب الأكاديمية العالمية، وتمثيل المملكة والجامعة خير تمثيل، خلال مشاركتهم في برنامج التبادل الطلابي الدولي بجامعة نيوكاسل في أستراليا.
وأكد الطلبة أن هذه الفرصة تمثل محطة مهمة في مسيرتهم الأكاديمية، وستسهم في تنمية مهاراتهم، والاطلاع على أحدث الممارسات العالمية، والعودة بخبرات ومعارف تسهم في تطوير مستقبلهم المهني وخدمة وطنهم، مشيرين إلى تطلعهم للاستفادة من البيئة التعليمية، والتجارب التطبيقية التي يقدمها البرنامج، بما يعزّز جاهزيتهم لسوق العمل ويواكب تطورات القطاع.

وتؤكد حماسها لخوض هذه التجربة، والاستفادة من البيئة الأكاديمية والبحثية، وتبادل الخبرات مع باحثين وطلبة من مختلف دول العالم، بما يسهم في تطوير مهاراتها البحثية، وتوسيع معارفها، ومواكبة التطورات المتسارعة في تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي والابتكار.

تحرص جنى الجعفري على خوض تجربة تدريبية بحثية في جامعة غلاسكو بالمملكة المتحدة، في مجال تفاعلات الإنسان مع الأنظمة التفاعلية، بما يتيح لها الاطلاع على أحدث الممارسات البحثية والتطبيقات في هذا المجال.
وتتطلع لخوض هذه التجربة، والاستفادة من البيئة البحثية الدولية، واكتساب مهارات جديدة من خلال العمل على مشاريع تطبيقية والتفاعل مع باحثين وطلبة من مختلف الثقافات.

يطمح عادل القحطاني إلى الاستفادة من البرنامج الأكاديمي في جامعة نيوكاسل بأستراليا، بوصفه فرصة لاكتساب خبرات جديدة، والتعرّف على أساليب تعليمية وتطبيقية متقدّمة في بيئة أكاديمية عالمية.
ويؤكد حماسه لخوض هذه التجربة، والاستفادة من الاستديوهات وورش العمل، والاحتكاك بالتجارب الدولية، بما يسهم في تطوير مهاراته، وتوسيع مداركه، وربط ما يدرسه بالتطبيق العملي، والعودة بخبرات تعزّز مسيرته الأكاديمية والمهنية.
In a qualitative step that reflects the university's direction towards preparing a generation capable of competing globally and representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in international academic forums, 35 male and female students from Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University will depart in the summer of 2026 to several prominent global universities in six countries, as part of the first edition of the international student exchange program.
The university president, Professor Dr. Fahd Al-Harbi, confirmed that the launch of the program embodies the university's commitment to providing global educational opportunities that enrich the academic experience for students and contribute to preparing qualified national cadres with the skills and knowledge necessary to compete at the international level. He pointed out that the program is an extension of the university's approach to building sustainable international academic partnerships and enhancing research and practical skills, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
For his part, the university's Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Muhaideb, explained that the program includes 35 students from the faculties of Dentistry, Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, Business Administration, and Architecture and Planning, who will be distributed among universities and academic institutions in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Sweden, Spain, Australia, and Norway during the summer semester. The aim is to provide them with diverse academic and cultural experiences and enable them to participate in research and practical projects that enhance their readiness to compete locally and internationally. He noted the diversity of the programs, which include research, academic, and training pathways ranging from two weeks to eight weeks, making the program a launchpad for building a sustainable institutional path for international student exchange.
Three students from the College of Architecture and Planning (Osama Al-Balawi, Fares Al-Hanfoosh, and Ahmed Al-Abdulhadi) share a common goal of benefiting from global academic experiences and representing the Kingdom and the university in the best possible way during their participation in the international student exchange program at the University of Newcastle in Australia.
The students affirmed that this opportunity represents an important milestone in their academic journey and will contribute to developing their skills, gaining insights into the latest global practices, and returning with experiences and knowledge that will help shape their professional future and serve their country. They expressed their eagerness to benefit from the educational environment and the practical experiences offered by the program, which will enhance their readiness for the job market and keep pace with sector developments.
