تحت رعاية خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، تنظّم جامعة أم القرى خلال الفترة من 20 إلى 21 ربيع الأول 1448هـ الموافق 2–3 سبتمبر 2026م، الملتقى العلمي الـ26 لأبحاث الحج والعمرة والزيارة، وذلك في قاعة الملك عبدالعزيز التاريخية بالمدينة الجامعية في العابدية، بمشاركة نخبة من الباحثين والأكاديميين والخبراء والمختصين من مختلف الجهات ذات العلاقة بمنظومة الحج والعمرة والزيارة.
وأكد رئيس جامعة أم القرى الدكتور معدي محمد آل مذهب، أن الرعاية الكريمة للملتقى تجسّد اهتمام القيادة بدعم البحث العلمي والابتكار، وتسخير مخرجاته لخدمة ضيوف الرحمن، وتعزيز الجهود الوطنية الرامية إلى تطوير منظومة الحج والعمرة والزيارة بما يتوافق مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030 وبرنامج خدمة ضيوف الرحمن. وأوضح أن الملتقى يسعى إلى تقديم حلول علمية وتقنية مبتكرة ترتقي بتجربة الحجاج والمعتمرين والزوّار، وتثري أبعادها الدينية والثقافية والإنسانية.
وأشار إلى أن النسخة الـ26 تُقام تحت شعار «التميّز والتكامل في منظومة خدمات الحج والعمرة»، وتشمل جلسات علمية وورش عمل متخصصة تستعرض أحدث الممارسات والتجارب البحثية في مجالات إدارة الحشود، والتحوّل الرقمي، والاستدامة البيئية، والذكاء الاصطناعي، والرعاية الصحية، والخدمات اللوجستية، والابتكار في خدمة ضيوف الرحمن.
وسيُصاحب الملتقى معرض علمي ومعرفي يستعرض أبرز المبادرات والخدمات والابتكارات وأوراق العمل البحثية المرتبطة بمنظومة الحج والعمرة والزيارة، إلى جانب إقامة النسخة الرابعة من «حجاثون»، الذي يستقطب الطلبة والباحثين وروّاد الأعمال لتقديم حلول وأفكار ابتكارية تعزّز التكامل بين الجهات الأكاديمية والبحثية والتنفيذية، وتدعم إنتاج حلول علمية نوعية تواكب التطورات المتسارعة في قطاع الحج والعمرة.
وتواصل الجامعة، ممثلةً في معهد خادم الحرمين الشريفين لأبحاث الحج والعمرة، استعداداتها العلمية والتنظيمية لإقامة الملتقى، من خلال بحث أحدث الدراسات والابتكارات التي تسهم في تطوير الخدمات المقدمة للحجاج والمعتمرين والزوّار، وتعزيز كفاءة المنظومة التشغيلية والخدمية بما يحقق مستهدفات التنمية المستدامة.
Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Umm Al-Qura University is organizing the 26th Scientific Forum for Research on Hajj, Umrah, and Visits from the 20th to the 21st of Rabi' al-Awwal 1448 AH, corresponding to September 2–3, 2026, at the King Abdulaziz Historical Hall in the university campus in Al-Abdiyyah. This event will feature a selection of researchers, academics, experts, and specialists from various relevant entities involved in the Hajj, Umrah, and visitation system.
Dr. Maadi Muhammad Al-Mudhhib, the President of Umm Al-Qura University, affirmed that the generous sponsorship of the forum embodies the leadership's interest in supporting scientific research and innovation, utilizing its outcomes to serve the guests of the Most Merciful, and enhancing national efforts aimed at developing the Hajj, Umrah, and visitation system in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the Guests of the Most Merciful Service Program. He explained that the forum aims to provide innovative scientific and technical solutions that elevate the experience of pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors, enriching its religious, cultural, and humanitarian dimensions.
He noted that the 26th edition is held under the slogan "Excellence and Integration in the Hajj and Umrah Services System," and includes scientific sessions and specialized workshops that showcase the latest practices and research experiences in the fields of crowd management, digital transformation, environmental sustainability, artificial intelligence, healthcare, logistics, and innovation in serving the guests of the Most Merciful.
Accompanying the forum will be a scientific and informational exhibition that highlights the most prominent initiatives, services, innovations, and research papers related to the Hajj, Umrah, and visitation system, alongside the fourth edition of "Hajathon," which attracts students, researchers, and entrepreneurs to present innovative solutions and ideas that enhance integration between academic, research, and executive entities, supporting the production of high-quality scientific solutions that keep pace with the rapid developments in the Hajj and Umrah sector.
The university, represented by the King Abdulaziz Research Institute for Hajj and Umrah, continues its scientific and organizational preparations for the forum by researching the latest studies and innovations that contribute to developing the services provided to pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors, and enhancing the efficiency of the operational and service system to achieve sustainable development objectives.
