باشرت الهيئة العامة لتنظيم الإعلام اتخاذ الإجراءات النظامية بحق 49 شخصًا نظير ارتكابهم 68 مخالفة من خلال حساباتهم في عدد من منصات التواصل الاجتماعي.
واستدعت الهيئة القائمين على هذه الحسابات لمخالفة محتوى حساباتهم الفقرة 12 من المادة الخامسة من نظام الإعلام المرئي والمسموع والتي تنص على «عدم نشر ما من شأنه الإخلال بالنظام العام، والأمن الوطني، ومقتضيات المصلحة العامة».
وشددت الهيئة على إحالتها كافة تلك المخالفات إلى اللجان المختصة بالنظر في أحكام مخالفة الأنظمة الإعلامية بوزارة الإعلام؛ مؤكدة أنها لن تتوانى في رصد كل محتوى إعلامي مخالف واتخاذ الإجراءات النظامية بحقه، إعمالًا لاختصاصاتها النظامية، والتزامًا بحماية الفضاء الرقمي من أي حملات ممنهجة أو مضللة.
The General Authority for Media Regulation has begun taking legal action against 49 individuals for committing 68 violations through their accounts on various social media platforms.
The authority summoned the operators of these accounts for violating paragraph 12 of Article 5 of the Audio-Visual Media Regulation, which states, "Do not publish anything that may disrupt public order, national security, or the requirements of the public interest."
The authority emphasized that it has referred all those violations to the relevant committees to examine the penalties for violating media regulations at the Ministry of Media; affirming that it will not hesitate to monitor any non-compliant media content and take legal action against it, in accordance with its regulatory powers and commitment to protecting the digital space from any systematic or misleading campaigns.
