توقّع المركز الوطني للأرصاد في تقريره عن حالة الطقس لهذا اليوم (الأربعاء) هطول أمطار رعدية متوسطة إلى غزيرة تؤدي إلى جريان السيول مصحوبة بزخات من البرد على أجزاء من مناطق الرياض، مكة المكرمة، الباحة، عسير، جازان، نجران وتكون خفيفة إلى متوسطة على أجزاء من مناطق الشرقية، الحدود الشمالية، الجوف، تبوك، حائل، القصيم في حين يستمر تأثير الرياح النشطة المثيرة للأتربة والغبار على أجزاء من تلك المناطق كذلك على أجزاء من منطقة المدينة المنورة.
كما أصدر المركز الوطني للأرصاد، اليوم، إنذارًا أحمر منبِّهًا من هطول أمطار غزيرة على منطقة نجران، تشمل مدينة نجران، ومحافظات بدر الجنوب، وثار، وحبونا، وخباش، ويدمة، مصحوبة برياح شديدة السرعة، وانعدام في مدى الرؤية الأفقية، وتساقط البرد، وجريان السيول.
وأشار الأرصاد إلى أن الأمطار على منطقة الرياض ستكون خفيفة إلى متوسطة بدءًا من اليوم (الأربعاء) إلى يوم الجمعة القادم، تشمل العاصمة الرياض، والدرعية، والقدية، والمزاحمية، والدلم، وضرما، والغاط، والمجمعة، والزلفي، وشقراء، وثادق، وحريملاء، ورماح.
وأضاف التقرير أن الرياح السطحية في البحر الأحمر ستكون شمالية إلى شمالية غربية بسرعة 20-40كم/ساعة على الجزء الشمالي والأوسط وشمالية غربية إلى غربية بسرعة 15-35 كم/ساعة تصل إلى 50 كم/ساعة مع تكوّن السحب الرعدية الممطرة على الجزء الجنوبي وارتفاع المــوج من متر إلى مترين يصل إلى أعلى من مترين ونصف مع تكوّن السحب الرعدية الممطرة على الجزء الجنوبي وحــــالة البحــر خفيف إلى متوسط الموج يصل إلى مائج مع تكوّن السحب الرعدية الممطرة على الجزء الجنوبي.
وفي الخليج العربي ستكون الرياح السطحية شمالية غربية إلى شمالية شرقية بسرعة 10-35 كم/ساعة تصل إلى أكثر من 50 كم/ساعة مع تكوّن السحب الرعدية الممطرة وارتفاع المــوج من نصف المتر إلى متر ونصف يصل إلى أعلى من مترين مع تكون السحب الرعدية الممطرة وحـالة البحـــر خفيف إلى متوسط الموج يصل إلى مائج مع تكوّن السحب الرعدية الممطرة.
The National Center of Meteorology has forecasted in its weather report for today (Wednesday) the occurrence of moderate to heavy thunderstorms leading to flash floods, accompanied by hail showers in parts of the Riyadh, Makkah, Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan, and Najran regions. Light to moderate rain is expected in parts of the Eastern, Northern Borders, Al-Jawf, Tabuk, Ha'il, and Qassim regions, while the impact of active winds stirring up dust and sand will continue in parts of those regions as well as in parts of the Medina region.
The National Center of Meteorology also issued a red alert today warning of heavy rainfall in the Najran region, including the city of Najran and the governorates of Badr Al-Janub, Thar, Habouna, Khabbash, and Yadmah, accompanied by strong winds, reduced horizontal visibility, hail, and flash floods.
The meteorological report indicated that the rain in the Riyadh region will be light to moderate starting today (Wednesday) until next Friday, covering the capital Riyadh, Al-Dhahriah, Al-Qiddiya, Al-Muzahimiyah, Al-Dulom, Dhurma, Al-Ghat, Al-Majma'ah, Al-Zulfi, Al-Shuqaiq, and Al-Thadiq, and Harimlah, and Ramah.
The report added that surface winds in the Red Sea will be northerly to northwesterly at speeds of 20-40 km/h in the northern and central parts, and northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 15-35 km/h, reaching up to 50 km/h with the formation of thunderstorm clouds in the southern part. Wave heights will range from one to two meters, reaching more than two and a half meters with the formation of thunderstorm clouds in the southern part, and the sea condition will be light to moderate with waves reaching turbulent with the formation of thunderstorm clouds in the southern part.
In the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly at speeds of 10-35 km/h, reaching more than 50 km/h with the formation of thunderstorm clouds. Wave heights will range from half a meter to one and a half meters, reaching more than two meters with the formation of thunderstorm clouds, and the sea condition will be light to moderate with waves reaching turbulent with the formation of thunderstorm clouds.
