"سدايا" تستعرض دور البيانات المفتوحة في تعزيز الابتكار والتنمية

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), in collaboration with the Libraries Authority, organized a workshop today titled "Open Data as a Strategic Source for Innovation and Growth," as part of national efforts aimed at enhancing data culture and empowering entrepreneurs to benefit from open data as a fundamental pillar for innovation and sustainable development.

Innovative Solutions

SDAIA highlighted during the workshop the importance of open data as a strategic national resource that supports the development of innovative technological solutions, and it is considered one of the national assets that stimulate the digital economy. They emphasized that making data available according to best practices and standards contributes to increasing transparency, stimulating investment, and enhancing integration among entities, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The workshop addressed the mechanisms for accessing open data platforms and the best ways to utilize them, in addition to showcasing practical models of startups that have successfully transformed data into real growth opportunities. It also discussed the vital role of libraries and knowledge centers in spreading data culture and raising community awareness of its importance.
