أعربت وزارة الخارجية عن استنكار المملكة العربية السعودية وإدانتها بأشد العبارات لمحاولة استهداف إيران للجمهورية التركية وجمهورية أذربيجان.
وشددت المملكة على أن هذه المحاولات الجبانة ضد البلدين، وتكرار إيران لسلوكها السافر تجاه دول المنطقة، يكشف عن نهج عدائي لا يمكن تبريره تحت أي ظرف، ويتعارض صراحة مع القوانين والأعراف الدولية ومبادئ حسن الجوار، ويدفع المنطقة نحو مزيد من التصعيد.
وأعربت المملكة عن تضامنها الكامل مع تركيا وأذربيجان حكومة وشعباً، مؤكدة حق البلدين في حماية أمنهما ومجالهما الجوي وسلامة أراضيهما ومواطنيهما، مثمنة ما تقوم به من جهود لتجنب التصعيد والحفاظ على أمن المنطقة واستقرارها.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of Iran's attempts to target the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Kingdom emphasized that these cowardly attempts against the two countries, along with Iran's repeated blatant behavior towards the countries of the region, reveal a hostile approach that cannot be justified under any circumstances, and is in direct contradiction to international laws and norms as well as the principles of good neighborliness, pushing the region towards further escalation.
The Kingdom expressed its full solidarity with Turkey and Azerbaijan, both government and people, affirming the right of the two countries to protect their security, airspace, territorial integrity, and citizens, while appreciating their efforts to avoid escalation and maintain the security and stability of the region.
