أكدت النيابة العامة أن إهمال الحيوانات أو تركها في غير الأماكن المخصصة لها، يُعد مخالفة تعرض صاحبها للعقوبة وفق الأنظمة المعمول بها في السعودية.
وكشفت النيابة العامة، عبر حسابها الرسمي على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي «x»، أن حماية الحيوانات وصون سلامتها تأتي ضمن مسؤوليات الأفراد، مؤكدة أن أي تصرف ينطوي على إهمال أو تعريضها للخطر يُعد سلوكًا مخالفًا يستوجب المحاسبة.
وأضافت أن من صور الإضرار بالحيوانات عدم توفير الظروف المعيشية الضرورية لإيوائها، مشيرة إلى أن ذلك يُعد مخالفة صريحة ضمن قانون الرفق بالحيوان لدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية.
وبينت النيابة العامة أن هذه الأنظمة تهدف إلى تعزيز الرفق بالحيوان والحد من الممارسات السلبية التي قد تُلحق الأذى بها أو تُسبب مخاطر صحية وبيئية، داعية الجميع إلى الالتزام بالتعليمات والأنظمة ذات العلاقة، والإبلاغ عن أي مخالفات تُرصد في هذا الشأن.

The Public Prosecution revealed, through its official account on the social media platform "x", that protecting animals and ensuring their safety is among the responsibilities of individuals, emphasizing that any action involving neglect or endangering them is considered a violative behavior that warrants accountability.
It added that one form of harming animals is failing to provide the necessary living conditions for their shelter, noting that this constitutes a clear violation under the Animal Welfare Law of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The Public Prosecution clarified that these regulations aim to promote animal welfare and reduce negative practices that may harm them or pose health and environmental risks, urging everyone to adhere to the relevant instructions and regulations, and to report any violations observed in this regard.
