The National Center of Meteorology has revealed the warning stages for cold waves, which are issued 6 to 12 hours or more before the impact of the weather phenomenon.
The center indicated that the yellow warning signifies the possibility of the area being affected by cold wave phenomena from 0°C to -3°C.
Meanwhile, the orange warning indicates the possibility of the area being affected by cold wave phenomena below -4°C to -6°C.
The center confirmed that the red warning signifies the possibility of the area being affected by cold wave phenomena below -7°C with the arrival of the cold wave.
The center provided a series of guidelines, the most notable of which is to wear heavy clothing and ensure the home is heated.
