Building on the global initiative "Empowering Women in Cybersecurity" launched by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Kingdom's mission to the United Nations and international organizations in Geneva has proposed a UN resolution that enhances the goals of this important initiative at the international level, translating its vision into practical steps to empower women in the field of cybersecurity by promoting their participation in the cybersecurity sector, developing their skills, supporting women's career paths in this field, and contributing to addressing the global talent and skills gap in cybersecurity; thereby enhancing global cybersecurity resilience.

The resolution received international consensus by being adopted by consensus without a vote in the Human Rights Council during its sixty-second session, reflecting this international stance on the importance of this initiative and its positive impact on enhancing cybersecurity resilience at the international level.

The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the United Nations and international organizations in Geneva, Abdul Mohsen bin Majid bin Khuthaila, emphasized in his speech before the council that the initiative embodies the Kingdom's commitment to enhancing international cooperation, technical assistance, and capacity building to empower women in the field of cybersecurity, while considering the national priorities of countries.

He clarified that the draft resolution reflects at the international level the vision adopted by the Crown Prince's initiative - may God protect him - to empower women in the field of cybersecurity, increase women's competencies in this field, and support women's career paths towards senior leadership positions.

The resolution, which received broad support and was adopted by consensus, highlights the Kingdom's commitment to supporting the efforts of countries in empowering women in the field of cybersecurity, stemming from its pioneering position and its qualitative initiatives in this area.

It is worth noting that the International Cybersecurity Forum Foundation oversees the implementation projects of the two global initiatives launched by the Crown Prince, protecting children in cyberspace and empowering women in the field of cybersecurity, by working and collaborating with several organizations and international partners, including various specialized agencies within the United Nations.
