أعلنت وكالة «تسنيم» الإيرانية للأنباء، اليوم (الأحد)، أن ناقلة نفط تعرضت لانفجار بعد اصطدامها بلغم بحري في مضيق هرمز.
وأضافت الوكالة أن الناقلة تعرضت لانفجار اللغم بعد مغادرتها المسار الذي حددته إيران، وفق قولها.
من جانبه، أفاد المتحدث باسم الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي، أن بلاده وعُمان أجرتا عدة جولات من المحادثات يومي الجمعة والسبت في طهران على مستوى نواب وزراء الخارجية.
وأضاف بقائي، اليوم (الأحد)، أن الجانبين تبادلا وجهات النظر بشأن المبادئ المشتركة والآليات التنفيذية لإدارة حركة الملاحة البحرية الآمنة في مضيق هرمز، مع مراعاة حقوق السيادة للدولتين الساحليتين.
وأشار إلى أن هذه المحادثات كانت مفيدة، وأنه تم إحراز تقدم، موضحاً أن الوفد العماني غادر طهران مساء السبت، لكن المشاورات الفنية والسياسية بين الجانبين مستمرة.
ورداً على سؤال بشأن الوضع الحالي في مضيق هرمز، قال بقائي إنه لم يطرأ أي تغيير على وضع حركة العبور في الممر المائي.
وذكر أن الاتفاق المؤقت الموقع الشهر الماضي لإنهاء الحرب بين أمريكا وإيران انهار منذ السابع من يوليو، عندما استهدفت طهران سفناً في مضيق هرمز، بينما ردت الولايات المتحدة بتنفيذ غارات جوية على إيران. وأعلنت طهران إغلاق المضيق، فيما عاودت واشنطن فرض حصارها على الموانئ الإيرانية.
The Iranian news agency "Tasnim" announced today (Sunday) that an oil tanker was hit by an explosion after colliding with a naval mine in the Strait of Hormuz.
The agency added that the tanker was struck by the mine's explosion after leaving the route designated by Iran, according to its statement.
For his part, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baqaei reported that his country and Oman held several rounds of talks on Friday and Saturday in Tehran at the level of deputy foreign ministers.
Baqaei added today (Sunday) that the two sides exchanged views on common principles and the executive mechanisms for managing safe maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, taking into account the sovereignty rights of the two coastal states.
He indicated that these talks were fruitful and that progress had been made, explaining that the Omani delegation left Tehran on Saturday evening, but technical and political consultations between the two sides are ongoing.
In response to a question about the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz, Baqaei stated that there had been no change in the status of transit traffic in the waterway.
He mentioned that the temporary agreement signed last month to end the war between the U.S. and Iran collapsed since July 7, when Tehran targeted ships in the Strait of Hormuz, while the United States responded with airstrikes on Iran. Tehran announced the closure of the strait, while Washington resumed its blockade on Iranian ports.
