أعلنت وزارة الداخلية السورية، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، اعتقال قائد الفرقة الثالثة دبابات في جيش النظام السابق اللواء موفق نظير حيدر خلال عملية أمنية في اللاذقية. وأفادت الوزارة بأن حيدر كان مسؤولا مباشرا عن حاجز القطيفة المعروف بـ«حاجز الموت» والمتهم بارتكاب جرائم بحق المدنيين، وأحيل إلى إدارة مكافحة الإرهاب للتحقيق تمهيداً لعرضه على القضاء المختص.
وبثت الداخلية السورية، مساء أمس (الإثنين)، مشاهد من عملية أمنية نفذتها قيادة الأمن الداخلي في محافظة ريف دمشق لملاحقة إرهابيين. وقالت إنها استهدفت أوكار خلايا إرهابية مرتبطة بتنظيم داعش، متورطة في التفجير الإرهابي الذي وقع في كنيسة مار إلياس بمنطقة الدويلعة في دمشق.
وأظهر تسجيل منشور على حساب الوزارة في فيسبوك، دوريات الأمن الداخلي تحاصر مقار لعناصر التنظيم في ريف دمشق، قبل أن تداهمها وتجري عمليات تفتيش داخلها. وأوضحت أن وحداتها الأمنية كثفت جهودها منذ وقوع الهجوم، وجمعت المعلومات وحلّلت الأدلة ضمن غرفة عمليات مشتركة مع الاستخبارات العامة.
وأفادت بأن القوات الأمنية نفذت عمليات دقيقة في منطقتي حرستا وكفربطنا، استهدفت مواقع لخلايا إرهابية مرتبطة بتنظيم «داعش».
وأسفرت العمليات عن اشتباكات مع عناصر التنظيم، تم خلالها القبض على متزعم الخلية وخمسة عناصر آخرين، إضافة إلى مقتل اثنين. وصادرت القوات خلال المداهمات كميات من الأسلحة والذخائر، وسترات ناسفة، وألغاماً، وعثرت على دراجة نارية ملغمة كانت معدة للتفجير.
من جهة أخرى، أعادت الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني السوري افتتاح الممرات الجوية في الأجواء السورية أمام حركة الملاحة الجوية، اعتباراً من الساعة العاشرة من صباح اليوم (الثلاثاء).
وذكرت في تعميم رسمي أن الممرات التي كانت قد أُغلقت مؤقتاً منذ 18 يونيو 2025، عادت إلى حالتها الطبيعية، مؤكدة أن القرار يأتي في إطار استئناف الحركة الجوية بشكل طبيعي في الأجواء السورية.
وكانت مؤسسة الخطوط الجوية السورية ألغت عدداً من الرحلات الجوية من وإلى مطار دمشق الدولي، نتيجة إغلاق الأجواء في توقيت تنفيذ بعض الرحلات، وسط تصاعد التوترات الإقليمية التي تؤثر على حركة الملاحة الجوية.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced today (Tuesday) the arrest of the commander of the Third Armored Division in the former regime's army, Major General Muwafaq Nazir Haidar, during a security operation in Latakia. The ministry reported that Haidar was directly responsible for the Qatana checkpoint, known as the "checkpoint of death," and is accused of committing crimes against civilians. He has been referred to the Anti-Terrorism Directorate for investigation in preparation for presenting him to the competent judiciary.
The Syrian Interior Ministry broadcast footage yesterday evening (Monday) of a security operation carried out by the Internal Security Forces in the Rural Damascus Governorate to pursue terrorists. It stated that it targeted hideouts of terrorist cells linked to ISIS, involved in the terrorist explosion that occurred at St. Elias Church in the Douala area of Damascus.
A video posted on the ministry's Facebook account showed Internal Security patrols surrounding the locations of the organization's members in Rural Damascus before raiding them and conducting searches inside. It clarified that its security units intensified their efforts since the attack, gathering information and analyzing evidence within a joint operations room with the General Intelligence.
It reported that security forces carried out precise operations in the Harasta and Kafr Batna areas, targeting sites of terrorist cells linked to ISIS.
The operations resulted in clashes with the organization's members, during which the cell leader and five other members were arrested, in addition to the killing of two. The forces seized quantities of weapons and ammunition, explosive vests, and mines, and found a booby-trapped motorcycle that was prepared for detonation.
On another note, the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority has reopened the air corridors in Syrian airspace to air traffic, starting from 10:00 AM today (Tuesday).
It mentioned in an official circular that the corridors, which had been temporarily closed since June 18, 2025, have returned to their normal state, confirming that the decision comes as part of resuming air traffic normally in Syrian airspace.
The Syrian Airlines Corporation had canceled a number of flights to and from Damascus International Airport due to the closure of airspace at the time of some flights, amid rising regional tensions affecting air traffic.
