Cairo - As many as 56 vessels transited the Suez Canal today, with a total cargo of 3,700,000 tons.

The north-bound convoy included 29 vessels laden with 2,000,000 tons while the south-bound convoy included 27 vessels was carrying 1,700,000 tons, according to a statement by the Suez Canal Authority.
