في خطوة تعزز الشراكة الاقتصادية المتنامية بين المملكة وجمهورية باكستان الإسلامية، أعلن إقليم البنجاب الباكستاني إنشاء مدينة صناعية خاصة للمستثمرين السعوديين تتضمن حوافز اقتصادية غير مسبوقة، من بينها إعفاء ضريبي وجمركي لمدة عشر سنوات، وفق ما أوردته شبكة AAJ News الباكستانية.
وأكدت رئيسة وزراء إقليم البنجاب مريم نواز أن المشروع يمثل نقلة نوعية في مسار التعاون الاقتصادي بين البلدين، موضحةً أن الحكومة الإقليمية اعتمدت سياسة «البدء الفوري» (Zero Time to Start) لتسهيل دخول الاستثمارات السعودية وتسريع إجراءات التأسيس والتشغيل.
وذكرت شبكة AAJ News أن الحكومة ستُنشئ خلية تيسير سريعة في مكتب رئيسة الوزراء لتسهيل التنسيق بين الجهات المعنية وتسريع الموافقات على المشاريع السعودية داخل المدينة الصناعية الجديدة.
وتشمل الحوافز المعلنة إعفاءً ضريبياً على الدخل لعشر سنوات، وإعفاءً جمركياً لمرة واحدة على المعدات والمواد الداخلة في التأسيس، إضافة إلى تسهيلات مصرفية وإجرائية خاصة بالمستثمرين السعوديين.
وبحسب تقرير الشبكة، أبدى الوفد السعودي الذي رأسه الأمير منصور بن محمد بن سعد آل سعود اهتماماً واسعاً بالاستثمار في قطاعات الثروة الحيوانية، والتعدين، والبنية التحتية، وتقنية المعلومات، مؤكداً أن المناخ الاستثماري في باكستان يشهد تطوراً ملحوظاً بدعم مباشر من القيادة في البلدين.
ويُعدّ هذا المشروع الأول من نوعه في باكستان المخصص للمستثمرين السعوديين بإعفاءات شاملة تمتد لعقد كامل، في وقت تشهد العلاقات الاقتصادية بين الرياض وإسلام آباد توسعاً متسارعاً في مجالات الطاقة والصناعة والخدمات اللوجستية.
In a move that strengthens the growing economic partnership between the Kingdom and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Pakistani province of Punjab announced the establishment of a special industrial city for Saudi investors, which includes unprecedented economic incentives, including a tax and customs exemption for ten years, according to the Pakistani network AAJ News.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz confirmed that the project represents a qualitative leap in the economic cooperation between the two countries, explaining that the provincial government has adopted a "Zero Time to Start" policy to facilitate the entry of Saudi investments and expedite the establishment and operational procedures.
AAJ News reported that the government will create a rapid facilitation cell in the Prime Minister's Office to facilitate coordination between the relevant parties and speed up approvals for Saudi projects within the new industrial city.
The announced incentives include a ten-year income tax exemption, a one-time customs exemption on equipment and materials used in the establishment, in addition to banking facilities and procedural advantages specifically for Saudi investors.
According to the network's report, the Saudi delegation headed by Prince Mansour bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Saud expressed significant interest in investing in the livestock, mining, infrastructure, and information technology sectors, confirming that the investment climate in Pakistan is witnessing remarkable development with direct support from the leadership in both countries.
This project is the first of its kind in Pakistan dedicated to Saudi investors with comprehensive exemptions extending for a full decade, at a time when economic relations between Riyadh and Islamabad are experiencing rapid expansion in the fields of energy, industry, and logistics services.
