عقد وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية بندر بن إبراهيم الخريّف سلسلة من الاجتماعات الثنائية مع قادة كبرى الشركات الصناعية في مدينة شنغهاي الصينية، بحث خلالها سبل توطين الصناعات عالية القيمة، والفرص الاستثمارية الواعدة في المملكة، وذلك ضمن زيارته الرسمية إلى الصين.
واستعرضت الاجتماعات مستهدفات الإستراتيجية الوطنية للصناعة بالمملكة، والفرص النوعية التي تتيحها لتوطين تقنيات التصنيع المتقدم، والصناعات عالية القيمة، التي تشمل صناعة مواد البناء، والهواتف الذكية، والأجهزة الإلكترونية، إضافة إلى ضواغط التدفئة، وأجهزة تكييف الهواء.
وناقشت سبل تعزيز التعاون بين الجانبين في مجال الأبحاث والابتكار الصناعي، وتبادل الخبرات والمعرفة ونقل التقنية إلى المملكة، واستكشاف الفرص المتاحة لتطوير وتأهيل القدرات البشرية في القطاع الصناعي وفقا لأفضل الممارسات العالمية.
وتضمنت الشركات الصينية التي التقى الخريف قادتها، شركات متخصصة في صناعة التكنولوجيا الكهربائية، وأخرى في تصنيع الهواتف الذكية، وصناعة الطلاء، وشركات رائدة في التكنولوجيا وأنظمة الذكاء الاصطناعي.
وعُقدت تلك الاجتماعات بحضور الرئيس التنفيذي للمركز الوطني للتنمية الصناعية المهندس صالح السلمي، وعدد من قيادات منظومة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية بالمملكة.
وفي السياق ذاته، شهد وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية توقيع مذكرة تفاهم ثلاثية بين المركز الوطني للتنمية الصناعية، وشركة سعودية، وأخرى صينية، لتوطين صناعة ضواغط أنظمة التكييف في المملكة.
وتأتي الاجتماعات ضمن زيارة الوزير الخريف إلى الصين التي تستمر حتى 27 من الشهر الجاري، وتستهدف تعزيز الروابط الاقتصادية الثنائية، وتطوير التعاون المشترك بين البلدين في قطاعي الصناعة والتعدين، وجذب الاستثمارات النوعية إلى المملكة.
The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, held a series of bilateral meetings with leaders of major industrial companies in Shanghai, China, during which he discussed ways to localize high-value industries and promising investment opportunities in the Kingdom, as part of his official visit to China.
The meetings reviewed the targets of the national industrial strategy in the Kingdom and the qualitative opportunities it provides for localizing advanced manufacturing technologies and high-value industries, which include the production of building materials, smartphones, electronic devices, as well as heating compressors and air conditioning units.
They discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the field of industrial research and innovation, exchanging expertise and knowledge, transferring technology to the Kingdom, and exploring available opportunities to develop and qualify human capabilities in the industrial sector according to the best global practices.
The Chinese companies that Al-Khorayef met with included those specialized in electrical technology, others in smartphone manufacturing, paint production, and leading companies in technology and artificial intelligence systems.
These meetings were attended by the CEO of the National Industrial Development Center, Engineer Saleh Al-Sulami, along with several leaders from the industrial and mineral resources sector in the Kingdom.
In this context, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources witnessed the signing of a trilateral memorandum of understanding between the National Industrial Development Center, a Saudi company, and a Chinese company to localize the manufacturing of air conditioning system compressors in the Kingdom.
The meetings are part of Minister Al-Khorayef's visit to China, which will continue until the 27th of this month, aiming to enhance bilateral economic ties, develop joint cooperation between the two countries in the industrial and mining sectors, and attract quality investments to the Kingdom.
