يمثل إطلاق خوادم «صناعة سعودية» خطوة إستراتيجية تعكس طموح المملكة في ترسيخ مكانتها كمركز إقليمي للتقنية، وتؤكد ريادتها في مجال البنية التحتية الرقمية. ومنذ انطلاق المشروع، لم يكن الهدف مقتصرًا على تلبية الاحتياجات المحلية، بل انطلقت الرؤية نحو التوسع الإقليمي لتشمل أسواق الخليج، الأردن، ومصر، مع تطلعات مستقبلية نحو دخول الأسواق العالمية. اختيار المملكة كمقر رئيسي لهذا التصنيع جاء نتيجة لموقعها الإستراتيجي، وتوفر منظومة متكاملة من سلاسل الإمداد، ما مكّن الشركة من دعم مشاريع وطنية كبرى مثل المدن الذكية، وفتح آفاق التصدير إلى الخارج.
وفي هذا السياق، أكد المهندس سامر صلاح، المدير الإقليمي للمشاريع الإستراتيجية وتطوير الأعمال في HPE، أن المشروع منذ بدايته كان موجّهًا نحو بناء قدرة تصنيعية قادرة على خدمة المنطقة بأكملها، وليس فقط السوق المحلية. وقد تم تنفيذ التصنيع المحلي بالتعاون مع شركة الفنار، الرائدة في الصناعة الوطنية، والتي وفرت البنية التحتية الصناعية والخبرات اللازمة لإنجاح المشروع. هذا التعاون مكّن HPE من تحقيق مرونة إنتاجية عالية، حيث تصل الطاقة القصوى للمصنع إلى 3000 خادم شهريًا، بينما يتم الإنتاج حاليًا حسب الطلب، بمعدل 700 خادم شهريًا عبر وردية واحدة، مع إمكانية مضاعفة الورديات وتشغيل المصنع على مدار الساعة عند الحاجة.
وتحدث صلاح عن أهمية مبادرة «صناعة سعودية»، مشيرًا إلى أن أول خادم سعودي تم إنتاجه خلال ثلاثة أسابيع فقط من إعلان المبادرة في عام 2023، وتم عرضه في معرض LEAP 2024. هذا الإنجاز تحقق بفضل تدريب الكوادر السعودية على يد خبراء دوليين، حيث أثبت الشباب السعودي قدرته على الالتزام بأعلى معايير الجودة والتقنية التي تعتمدها HPE، حتى في المجالات الدقيقة التي تعتمد على وحدات معالجة الرسوميات (GPUs).
ويُعد نجاح هذه المبادرة عاملًا محفزًا لجذب الاستثمارات الأجنبية، حيث أبدت شركات عالمية اهتمامًا بالدخول في شراكات إستراتيجية مع HPE، مثل شركة AMD التي انضمت حديثا لدعم التصنيع المحلي. هذا التعاون لا يقتصر على توريد المكونات، بل يمتد إلى تطوير حلول متكاملة بالتعاون مع شركات البرمجيات، مما يسهم في بناء منظومة صناعية متكاملة تدعم الاقتصاد الوطني وتخلق فرصًا جديدة في مجالات التقنية المتقدمة، وتُسهم في تقوية سلاسل التوريد وبناء صناعات مساندة.
وفيما يتعلق بدعم المشاريع الوطنية، أكد صلاح أن HPE تُعد شريكًا رئيسيًا في عدد من المبادرات الكبرى، وتخدم قطاعات متنوعة تشمل البتروكيماويات، الصحة، التعليم، والمدن الذكية. كما أشار إلى أن بعض تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي الخاصة بالنقل الذكي تعمل حاليًا على خوادم مصنّعة محليًا، مما يعكس جاهزية المنتج السعودي لتلبية متطلبات الابتكار.
وشدد صلاح على أن الدعم الحكومي كان عنصرًا جوهريًا في نجاح المشروع، موضحًا أن إدراج الخوادم ضمن القائمة الإلزامية للمنتجات الوطنية، بدعم من لجنة المحتوى المحلي والوزارات المعنية، ساهم في جعل الجهات الحكومية وشبه الحكومية من أبرز عملاء الشركة. ومع توسع الإنتاج، تتطلع HPE إلى تلبية احتياجات القطاع الخاص بشكل أكبر، وتعزيز دورها في بناء اقتصاد رقمي متكامل.
واختتم صلاح حديثه بالإشارة إلى مشاركة الشركة في مؤتمر LEAP القادم، حيث تعمل الشركة على تعزيز مبادرات «صُنع في السعودية»، تأكيدًا على التزامها المستمر بدعم رؤية المملكة وتعزيز مكانتها كمركز تقني إقليمي.
The launch of "Saudi Industry" servers represents a strategic step that reflects the Kingdom's ambition to establish itself as a regional technology hub and confirms its leadership in the field of digital infrastructure. Since the project's inception, the goal has not been limited to meeting local needs; rather, the vision has expanded towards regional growth to include the Gulf markets, Jordan, and Egypt, with future aspirations to enter global markets. The choice of the Kingdom as the main hub for this manufacturing came as a result of its strategic location and the availability of a comprehensive supply chain system, enabling the company to support major national projects such as smart cities and open up export opportunities abroad.
In this context, Engineer Samer Salah, the Regional Director for Strategic Projects and Business Development at HPE, confirmed that the project has been aimed from the beginning at building a manufacturing capacity capable of serving the entire region, not just the local market. Local manufacturing has been implemented in collaboration with Alfanar, a leader in national industry, which provided the necessary industrial infrastructure and expertise to ensure the project's success. This collaboration has enabled HPE to achieve high production flexibility, with the factory's maximum capacity reaching 3,000 servers per month, while production is currently on-demand, at a rate of 700 servers per month through a single shift, with the possibility of doubling shifts and operating the factory around the clock when needed.
Salah spoke about the importance of the "Saudi Industry" initiative, noting that the first Saudi server was produced within just three weeks of the initiative's announcement in 2023 and was showcased at the LEAP 2024 exhibition. This achievement was made possible by training Saudi personnel under the guidance of international experts, where Saudi youth demonstrated their ability to adhere to the highest standards of quality and technology adopted by HPE, even in the precise fields that rely on Graphics Processing Units (GPUs).
The success of this initiative is a motivating factor for attracting foreign investments, as global companies have shown interest in entering into strategic partnerships with HPE, such as AMD, which recently joined to support local manufacturing. This collaboration is not limited to supplying components but extends to developing integrated solutions in cooperation with software companies, contributing to building a comprehensive industrial ecosystem that supports the national economy and creates new opportunities in advanced technology fields, while strengthening supply chains and building supporting industries.
Regarding support for national projects, Salah confirmed that HPE is a key partner in several major initiatives, serving diverse sectors including petrochemicals, health, education, and smart cities. He also pointed out that some smart transportation AI applications are currently running on locally manufactured servers, reflecting the readiness of the Saudi product to meet innovation requirements.
Salah emphasized that government support has been a fundamental element in the project's success, explaining that including servers in the mandatory list of national products, supported by the Local Content Committee and relevant ministries, has made government and semi-government entities among the company's top clients. As production expands, HPE looks forward to better meeting the needs of the private sector and enhancing its role in building a comprehensive digital economy.
Salah concluded his remarks by mentioning the company's participation in the upcoming LEAP conference, where the company is working to promote "Made in Saudi Arabia" initiatives, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to support the Kingdom's vision and enhance its position as a regional technology hub.
