فازت المملكة العربية السعودية، ممثلة بالهيئة السعودية للمواصفات والمقاييس والجودة، بعضوية مجلس الإدارة الفني للمنظمة الدولية للتقييس (ISO) للفترة 2026-2028م، مما يعكس الدور الفاعل للهيئة على الصعيد العالمي.
وتعد هذه العضوية خطوة إستراتيجية مهمة تعزز من دور المملكة في رسم التوجهات الفنية للمنظمة الدولية، وضمان مواءمة تلك التوجهات مع الأولويات الوطنية ومبادرات رؤية المملكة 2030، بما يُسهم في تطوير البنية التحتية للجودة ويخدم مختلف القطاعات الاقتصادية.
إسهامات فاعلة
وتؤكد الهيئة أن هذا الإنجاز يعكس التقدير الدولي لمكانة المملكة وإسهاماتها الفاعلة في دعم التجارة الدولية، وتعزيز سلامة المنتجات، والخدمات لحماية المستهلك، وإصدار المواصفات القياسية الدولية من خلال أعمال اللجان الفنية التي تُغطي جميع المجالات.
وأنشئت المنظمة الدولية للتقييس (ISO) في العام 1947م، وهي تمثل التجمع الدولي لجميع هيئات التقييس الوطنية بالعالم، حيث تضم أكثر من 160 عضواً، إذ انضمت المملكة ممثلةً بالهيئة السعودية للمواصفات والمقاييس والجودة إلى هذه المنظمة في العام 1972م.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, has won a seat on the Technical Board of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for the period 2026-2028, reflecting the active role of the organization on a global scale.
This membership is an important strategic step that enhances the Kingdom's role in shaping the technical directions of the international organization and ensures that these directions align with national priorities and the initiatives of Vision 2030, contributing to the development of quality infrastructure and serving various economic sectors.
Active Contributions
The organization confirms that this achievement reflects international recognition of the Kingdom's status and its active contributions to supporting international trade, enhancing product safety, and services to protect consumers, as well as issuing international standard specifications through the work of technical committees that cover all fields.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was established in 1947 and represents the international gathering of all national standardization bodies in the world, comprising more than 160 members. The Kingdom, represented by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, joined this organization in 1972.
