تمديد مهلة الحصول على رخص استخدام الآبار لمدة عام

The Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Fadli, has approved the extension of the deadline for obtaining licenses to use groundwater sources (wells) for various purposes for one year, starting from the fifth of Safar 1447.

The decision excludes from this extension: usage licenses for local agricultural companies and large licensed farmers for wheat cultivation, as they will remain subject to the regulations governing wheat and seasonal fodder cultivation.

The exception includes usage licenses related to activities overseen by the Saudi Water Authority and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, which are (water filling stations for both potable and non-potable water, and bottled water factories), as the conditions and regulations governing these will apply according to the requirements of the licensing authority for the activity.

It is worth noting that the ministry issued a decision a year ago requiring anyone with a well on their property to apply through the "Namaa" electronic portal to obtain a usage license within one year from the date of approving the regulations for issuing licenses for the use of groundwater sources (wells).
