أعلن صندوق الاستثمارات العامة اليوم إطلاق «شركة إكسبو 2030 الرياض»، المملوكة بالكامل للصندوق. وستعمل على بناء وتشغيل مرافق معرض «إكسبو 2030 الرياض» الأول من نوعه في المملكة، واستثمار مرافقه على المدى الطويل.
ويغطي المخطط الرئيسي لـ «إكسبو 2030 الرياض» مساحة 6 ملايين متر مربع شمال مدينة الرياض، بجوار مطار الملك سلمان الدولي المستقبلي، ليكون بذلك أحد أكبر مواقع الإكسبو في تاريخ المعرض، ويرتبط مباشرة بالعديد من المواقع الرئيسية البارزة.
ومن المتوقع أن يجذب معرض «إكسبو 2030 الرياض» أكثر من 40 مليون زيارة، وستتولى الشركة تحويل المعرض بعد انتهائه إلى قرية عالمية، لتكون مركزاً متعدد الثقافات لأنشطة التجزئة والمطاعم، يحيط به مجتمع سكني عالمي مشيّد وفق أعلى المستويات، يمثل نموذجاً للسياحة المستدامة.
ويعمل صندوق الاستثمارات العامة بشكل مستمر على تحقيق مستهدفاته الإستراتيجية لصنع أثر اقتصادي إيجابي في المملكة، إلى جانب ضمان تحقيق عوائد مستدامة. ويُعد الصندوق واحداً من أبرز المستثمرين العالميين الأكثر تأثيراً، ويعمل على تمكين القطاعات والفرص الجديدة التي تسهم في رسم ملامح الاقتصاد العالمي ودفع عجلة التحول الاقتصادي السعودي، ويقود الصندوق تطوير مشاريع كبرى تحوّلية ومبادرات عقارية بارزة في مختلف أنحاء المملكة.
وقال رئيس الإدارة العامة للاستثمارات العقارية المحلية في صندوق الاستثمارات العامة سعد الكرود: «ستستفيد شركة إكسبو 2030 الرياض، من منظومة صندوق الاستثمارات العامة المتنوعة محلياً وعالمياً، ويتماشى تأسيس الشركة مع إستراتيجية الصندوق في القطاع العقاري، الذي يقود تعزيز الاقتصاد المحلي وتنويعه، ودفع عجلة الابتكار الحضري، وتحسين جودة الحياة، تحقيقاً لمستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030».
وستطلق الشركة عملياتها بوتيرة متسارعة تحقيقاً لمستهدفاتها، وتعتزم عقد شراكات مع القطاع الخاص المحلي والدولي لتحقيق أهدافها في مجالات التشييد والبناء، إلى جانب البرامج الثقافية وتنظيم الفعاليات.
وسيعزز معرض «إكسبو 2030 الرياض»، المقرر انعقاده في الفترة من (1 أكتوبر 2030 - 31 مارس 2031)، جاذبية مدينة الرياض للأعمال والشركات العالمية، بما يسهم في ترسيخ مكانة الرياض كواحدة من أسرع العواصم تحولاً في العالم، تجمع بين مفاهيم الاستدامة والربط وجودة الحياة. وقد فازت الرياض في نوفمبر 2024 باستضافة معرض إكسبو 2030، وذلك بالتصويت من الدورة الأولى.
ومن المتوقع أن يبلغ إجمالي مساهمة معرض «إكسبو 2030 الرياض» ومرافقه في الناتج المحلي الإجمالي للمملكة؛ خلال مراحل البناء؛ قرابة 241 مليار ريال سعودي، وأن يصل عدد الوظائف المستحدثة إلى 171 ألف وظيفة مباشرة وغير مباشرة، في حين ستبلغ المساهمة في الناتج المحلي الإجمالي للمرحلة التشغيلية نحو 21 مليار ريال سعودي.
وسيتيح معرض «إكسبو 2030 الرياض» الفرصة للدول المشاركة لإنشاء أجنحة دائمة لتكون جزءاً من مرافقه المستدامة، وستوفر تلك الأجنحة فُرصاً لنمو الأعمال والاستثمار على المدى الطويل.
The Public Investment Fund announced today the launch of "Expo 2030 Riyadh Company," fully owned by the fund. It will work on building and operating the facilities of the "Expo 2030 Riyadh," the first of its kind in the Kingdom, and will invest in its facilities in the long term.
The master plan for "Expo 2030 Riyadh" covers an area of 6 million square meters north of Riyadh, next to the future King Salman International Airport, making it one of the largest expo sites in the history of the exhibition, directly connected to many prominent key locations.
It is expected that "Expo 2030 Riyadh" will attract more than 40 million visits, and the company will transform the exhibition into a global village after its conclusion, serving as a multicultural hub for retail and dining activities, surrounded by a global residential community built to the highest standards, representing a model for sustainable tourism.
The Public Investment Fund continuously works to achieve its strategic objectives to create a positive economic impact in the Kingdom, alongside ensuring sustainable returns. The fund is considered one of the most influential global investors and works to empower new sectors and opportunities that contribute to shaping the global economy and driving the Saudi economic transformation, leading the development of major transformative projects and prominent real estate initiatives across the Kingdom.
Saad Al-Karoud, the Head of the Local Real Estate Investments Department at the Public Investment Fund, stated: "Expo 2030 Riyadh Company will benefit from the diverse ecosystem of the Public Investment Fund both locally and globally. The establishment of the company aligns with the fund's strategy in the real estate sector, which leads to enhancing and diversifying the local economy, driving urban innovation, and improving quality of life, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030."
The company will launch its operations at an accelerated pace to achieve its objectives and intends to form partnerships with the local and international private sector to achieve its goals in construction and building, alongside cultural programs and event organization.
The "Expo 2030 Riyadh," scheduled to take place from (October 1, 2030 - March 31, 2031), will enhance the attractiveness of Riyadh for global businesses and companies, contributing to solidifying Riyadh's position as one of the fastest-transforming capitals in the world, combining concepts of sustainability, connectivity, and quality of life. Riyadh won the bid to host Expo 2030 in November 2024, through voting in the first round.
It is expected that the total contribution of "Expo 2030 Riyadh" and its facilities to the Kingdom's GDP during the construction phases will be approximately 241 billion Saudi Riyals, and the number of newly created jobs will reach 171,000 direct and indirect jobs, while the contribution to the GDP during the operational phase will be around 21 billion Saudi Riyals.
The "Expo 2030 Riyadh" will provide participating countries the opportunity to establish permanent pavilions to be part of its sustainable facilities, offering opportunities for long-term business growth and investment.
