قريباً جداً سيكون بمستطاع السعوديين والمقيمين شراء سيارات شركة هيونداي المصنعة في المملكة العربية السعودية. فقد بدأت الشركة الكورية الجنوبية العمل في بناء مصنعها في المملكة، بفضل استثمار مشترك بينها (30%) وبين صندوق استثمار الثروة السيادية السعودية (70%).
ويتوقع، أن يبدأ الإنتاج بالظهور في الأسواق خلال الربع الأخير من عام 2026، بطاقة إنتاجية تبلغ 50 ألف سيارة سنوياً، تشمل سيارات كهربائية. وتقول الشركة، إن مشروعها المشترك مع الصندوق السيادي السعودي يأتي في سوق لها فيها مكان راسخ، إذ باعت العام الماضي 136 ألفاً من سياراتها. وتقول، إن سوقها في المملكة تنمو بنسبة 9% سنوياً. وتنص رؤية المملكة 2030، التي يشرف على تنفيذها ولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، على أن تكون المملكة منصة إقليمية لتصنيع السيارات بحلول العام 2030.
وقُدِّرَ حجمُ سوق السيارات في المملكة العربية السعودية بـ19.72 مليار دولار في عام 2023. ويتوقع أن تنمو هذه السوق باطّراد بنسبة 16.13% سنوياً، ليصل حجمها إلى 74.74 مليار دولار بحلول العام 2032.

Soon, Saudis and residents will be able to purchase Hyundai cars manufactured in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The South Korean company has started building its factory in the Kingdom, thanks to a joint investment between it (30%) and the Saudi Sovereign Wealth Fund (70%).
