The CEO of Saudi Aramco, Amin Nasser, revealed that refilling oil stocks could take about two years, amid the pressures facing crude oil supplies and the current challenges in global energy markets.
Nasser confirmed that "Aramco" is exploring additional pathways for exporting crude oil, alongside expanding external storage facilities, with the aim of enhancing supply flexibility and increasing the company's ability to cope with potential fluctuations and disruptions in energy markets. This was stated during his speech at the World Petroleum Congress (WPC Energy) in Riyadh.
He pointed out that the sharp rise in refined fuel prices complicates the current landscape, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation and concerted efforts to protect energy infrastructure and its transportation routes, ensuring supply security and stability in global markets.
Regarding the company's future plans, Nasser explained that "Aramco" aims to increase gas sales and raise its production capacity by about 80% by 2030, compared to 2021 levels, as part of its strategy to meet the growing demand for energy and support the transition in the global energy sector.
