The Saudi Credit Bureau (SIMAH) announced during its participation in the LEAP conference the launch of its second data center, which has been awarded a Tier 4 classification by the global Uptime Institute. This classification represents the highest levels of data center rating in terms of readiness, reliability, and business continuity; a step that enhances SIMAH's readiness to support the upcoming phase of the credit information industry’s evolution. This achievement reflects SIMAH's commitment to building a robust, flexible, and scalable technological environment capable of keeping pace with the rapid growth and complexity of data, accommodating the advanced requirements of modern technologies, including artificial intelligence applications, advanced analytics, automation, and innovative digital tools, while maintaining high levels of reliability, security, and service continuity. This readiness comes at a time when the credit information industry is witnessing a rapid transformation from models that rely on collecting and providing information to more intelligent systems capable of analyzing data, extracting indicators, and building advanced models that support forecasting, risk assessment, and enhance decision quality. From this perspective, SIMAH is investing in building the technical foundation capable of accommodating and enabling this transformation in the long term.
For his part, Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Qudairi, CEO of SIMAH, confirmed that the readiness of the digital infrastructure represents a strategic investment in the future of SIMAH and the credit information industry, pointing out that the future of credit information will not be built solely on the volume of data, but on SIMAH's ability to transform it into knowledge, intelligence, and more accurate and reliable decisions. Therefore, the readiness of the digital infrastructure according to the highest global reliability standards is not just a technical achievement we celebrate, but a foundation upon which we build the next phase of SIMAH's evolution. He added: We are building at SIMAH a digital environment capable of accommodating what is to come; from artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to models and tools that were not possible yesterday. Every great innovation needs a foundation that matches its ambition, and every technological transformation requires an infrastructure capable of carrying it safely, confidently, and continuously. The Tier 4 classification provides us with one of the most important pillars of this foundation, and our ambition is to invest in a digital infrastructure that opens the door to what data, technology, and innovation can create in the future, supporting the efficiency and stability of the financial system and the digital economy in the Kingdom.
This direction enhances SIMAH's ability to develop a more advanced generation of data-driven products and services, preparing its technological environment for the expansion of emerging technologies, thereby increasing the efficiency of the services provided to customers and partners, and supporting the development of more advanced tools in analysis, evaluation, risk management, and decision-making. Additionally, the investment in the data center reflects SIMAH's commitment to building sustainable digital capabilities that can keep pace with future developments and the growing requirements for security, reliability, and governance, while maintaining the necessary flexibility to adopt new technologies and models as market and industry needs evolve.
