واصلت أسعار النفط ارتفاعها خلال تعاملاتها اليوم (الجمعة)، لتسجل مكاسب بأكثر من 1%، مدعومة بتجدد المخاوف بشأن إمدادات الخام، عقب تهديد الولايات المتحدة بفرض حظر بحري غير محدد المدة على إيران.
ويتجه خاما برنت وغرب تكساس الوسيط إلى تسجيل مكاسب أسبوعية تتجاوز 5%، رغم تراجعهما بأكثر من 2% في جلسة أمس، وفقاً لـ«رويترز».
وقال وزير الخزانة الأمريكي سكوت بيسنت، في مقابلة مع قناة «نيوزماكس»، إن الأسواق ستشهد مزيداً من القرارات الأمريكية الأسبوع القادم، مشيراً إلى أن واشنطن ستطبق إجراءات وصفها بأنها غير مسبوقة في تاريخ العزل الاقتصادي لأي دولة.
وتترقب الأسواق في وقت لاحق اليوم صدور بيانات شركة «بيكرهيوز» بشأن عدد منصات النفط والغاز في الولايات المتحدة، وسط اهتمام بتطورات الإمدادات الأمريكية وآفاق الإنتاج خلال الفترة القادمة.
وارتفع خام برنت، تسليم أكتوبر، 1.34 دولار، بما يعادل 1.55%، ليصل إلى 88.41 دولار للبرميل.
كما صعد خام غرب تكساس الوسيط (نايمكس)، تسليم سبتمبر، 1.48 دولار، أو 1.80%، إلى 82.73 دولار للبرميل.
Oil prices continued to rise during trading today (Friday), recording gains of more than 1%, supported by renewed concerns about crude supplies, following the United States' threat to impose an indefinite maritime ban on Iran.
Brent and West Texas Intermediate crude are heading towards weekly gains exceeding 5%, despite their decline of more than 2% in yesterday's session, according to Reuters.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Piesen stated in an interview with Newsmax that the markets will witness more U.S. decisions next week, indicating that Washington will implement measures he described as unprecedented in the history of economic isolation of any country.
The markets are awaiting later today the release of data from Baker Hughes regarding the number of oil and gas rigs in the United States, amid interest in developments in U.S. supplies and production outlook for the coming period.
Brent crude for October delivery rose by $1.34, or 1.55%, reaching $88.41 per barrel.
West Texas Intermediate (NYMEX) crude for September delivery also increased by $1.48, or 1.80%, to $82.73 per barrel.
