كشف تقرير حكومي في اليابان أن أكثر من 70٪ من منشآت الإقامة في البلاد تعاني نقصاً في العمالة في ظل ازدهار قطاع السياحة الذي يعد محركاً أساسياً للاقتصاد. ويؤكد ذلك الحاجة إلى المزيد من الاستثمارات في قطاع الأتمتة وتقديم مزايا أفضل لجذب العمال.
حلقة مفرغة
وأشارت الورقة البيضاء السنوية بشأن السياحة، التي نقلتها صحيفة «جابان توداي»، إلى احتمال تعرض القطاع لـ«حلقة مفرغة»، حيث تؤدي زيادة أعباء العمل إلى زيادة عدد الأشخاص الذين يتركون وظائفهم.
وأجرت الحكومة مسحاً خلال الفترة بين ديسمبر ويناير الماضيين، شمل 522 مرفقاً للإقامة، ذكرت 72.2٪ منها أنها تعاني «نقصاً في العمالة»، وأوضحت أن التعامل مع الضغط المتزايد على الموظفين الحاليين خلال المواسم السياحية المزدحمة يشكل تحدياً كبيراً.
A government report in Japan revealed that more than 70% of accommodation facilities in the country are experiencing a labor shortage amid the booming tourism sector, which is a key driver of the economy. This underscores the need for more investments in the automation sector and offering better benefits to attract workers.
Vicious Cycle
The annual white paper on tourism, reported by Japan Today, indicated the sector may be facing a "vicious cycle," where increased workloads lead to more people leaving their jobs.
The government conducted a survey between December and January, covering 522 accommodation facilities, of which 72.2% reported experiencing a "labor shortage," and noted that coping with the increasing pressure on current employees during busy tourist seasons poses a significant challenge.
