تعرض نظام المدفوعات التابع للبنك المركزي الأوروبي لعطل جديد اليوم، هو الثاني خلال أسبوع، نتيجة خلل ناجم عن تحديث برمجي، ما أدى إلى تأخير تسوية المعاملات باليورو والكرونة الدنماركية.
تحديث برمجي
وأوضح البنك المركزي الأوروبي أن العطل استمر نحو 40 دقيقة، قبل استعادة النظام الذي يُعرف باسم «تي 2» لعمله بشكل طبيعي.
وأكد متحدث باسم البنك أن العطلين الأخيرين، بما في ذلك العطل الذي وقع في 29 يونيو، نتجا عن تحديث برمجي حديث أدخل خللاً في النظام، مضيفاً أن المشكلة تمت معالجتها وأن جميع الأنظمة تعمل حالياً بصورة طبيعية.
وسبق أن تعرض نظام المدفوعات الأوروبي لانقطاع استمر 7 ساعات العام الماضي بسبب عطل في الأجهزة، ما تسبب آنذاك في تأخير صرف الأجور والإعانات الاجتماعية، فضلاً عن تعطيل بعض معاملات الأسواق المالية.
The payment system of the European Central Bank experienced a new outage today, the second in a week, due to a malfunction caused by a software update, which led to delays in settling transactions in euros and Danish kroner.
Software Update
The European Central Bank explained that the outage lasted about 40 minutes, before the system known as "T2" resumed normal operations.
A spokesperson for the bank confirmed that the last two outages, including the one that occurred on June 29, were caused by a recent software update that introduced a malfunction in the system, adding that the issue has been resolved and all systems are currently operating normally.
Previously, the European payment system experienced a 7-hour outage last year due to a hardware failure, which at that time caused delays in the disbursement of wages and social benefits, as well as disrupting some financial market transactions.
