أعلن حاكم مصرف سورية المركزي عبدالقادر الحصرية، أن التعايش بين العملتين، الليرة الجديدة والليرة القديمة، سيبقى قائماً حتى نهاية مدة الاستبدال التي جرى تمديدها حتى 30 يونيو القادم.
استقرار التعاملات
وقال الحصرية: «الهدف من هذا الإجراء هو ضمان استقرار التعاملات وتسهيل عمليات التحويل ضمن الأطر القانونية المعتمدة». وشدد على ضرورة الالتزام التام من قبل جميع المؤسسات والأفراد بالتعليمات الصادرة بهذا الخصوص.
وأشار إلى أن أي مخالفة لهذه التعليمات ستعرض مرتكبها للمساءلة القانونية، واتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة وفق القوانين والأنظمة النافذة.
تمديد الاستبدال
وأعلن حاكم مصرف سورية المركزي تمديد فترة استبدال العملة 30 يوماً إضافياً، لتبدأ من الأول حتى الـ30 من يونيو القادم، في إطار التقدم الجيد الذي تشهده عملية الاستبدال.
وبين الحصرية أن هذا التمديد يأتي لإتاحة فرصة أكبر لإتمام عملية الاستبدال بسهولة ومرونة، إذ سيتم ذلك حصراً عبر فروع المصارف العاملة ووفق الشروط والضوابط التي سيعلن عنها.
وكان حاكم مصرف سورية أصدر في الثاني من مارس الماضي قراراً بتمديد استبدال العملة لمدة 60 يوماً اعتباراً من الأول من أبريل، بعدما بدأت عملية الاستبدال في الأول من يناير الماضي، وتستمر 90 يوماً قابلة للتمديد، بحيث تعادل كل 100 ليرة سورية من العملة القديمة ليرة سورية واحدة من العملة الجديدة.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Abdul Qadir Al-Hosriya, announced that the coexistence between the two currencies, the new lira and the old lira, will remain in place until the end of the replacement period, which has been extended until June 30th.
Stability of Transactions
Al-Hosriya stated: "The aim of this measure is to ensure the stability of transactions and facilitate the conversion processes within the approved legal frameworks." He emphasized the necessity for all institutions and individuals to fully comply with the instructions issued in this regard.
He pointed out that any violation of these instructions will expose the violator to legal accountability and necessary actions will be taken according to the applicable laws and regulations.
Extension of Replacement
The Governor of the Central Bank of Syria announced the extension of the currency replacement period by an additional 30 days, starting from the first to the 30th of June, as part of the good progress being made in the replacement process.
Al-Hosriya explained that this extension is intended to provide a greater opportunity to complete the replacement process easily and flexibly, as it will be conducted exclusively through the branches of the operating banks and according to the conditions and regulations that will be announced.
Previously, the Governor of the Central Bank issued a decision on March 2nd to extend the currency replacement period for 60 days starting from April 1st, after the replacement process began on January 1st and lasts for 90 days, which can be extended, with every 100 Syrian pounds of the old currency equating to one Syrian pound of the new currency.
