دشّن وزير الاستثمار فهد السيف، اليوم في الرياض، المقر الإقليمي لشركة لينوفو لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وتركيا وأفريقيا، وذلك ضمن جهود المملكة لتعزيز جاذبيتها كمركز إقليمي للشركات العالمية، في إطار مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
وأوضح أن اختيار شركة لينوفو للمملكة مقراً إقليمياً لها، يعكس متانة الاقتصاد السعودي وجاذبية بيئته الاستثمارية، وما يشهده من تحول اقتصادي متسارع، مشيراً إلى أن هذه الخطوة تمثل أنموذجاً لنجاح برنامج جذب المقرات الإقليمية في استقطاب الشركات العالمية وتمكينها من إدارة أعمالها والتوسع في المنطقة انطلاقاً من المملكة. كما أنه يؤكّد الفرص الهائلة المتاحة للمستثمرين، في المملكة، وفي منطقة الشرق الأوسط ككل.
توظيف وتوطين وصناعة
وبيّن أن الشركة تعمل من خلال مقرها الإقليمي على بناء حضور متكامل في السوق السعودية بالتعاون مع عدد من الجهات الوطنية، بما يسهم في دعم نموها الإقليمي وتلبية الطلب العالمي، من خلال تكامل منظومة الأعمال التي تجمع بين صناعة القرار والخدمات اللوجستية والبيئة الاستثمارية الممكنة.
وأشار إلى أن استثمارات لينوفو في المملكة تشمل تطوير برامج للبحث والتطوير وتنمية المهارات، إلى جانب إنشاء منصة تصنيع بطاقة إنتاجية تصل إلى نحو 8 ملايين وحدة سنوياً، بما يسهم في إيجاد فرص وظيفية نوعية ودعم توطين التقنية والصناعة.
وأكد السيف أن هذه الشراكات مع الشركات العالمية، تسهم في تعزيز موقع المملكة في سلاسل القيمة التقنية العالمية، ودعم الصناعة الوطنية، وتسريع نقل المعرفة وتنمية الكفاءات البشرية، إلى جانب توفير منصة للشركات الدولية للتوسع والابتكار في واحدة من أكثر الأسواق نمواً في المنطقة.
يُذكر أن تدشين المقر الإقليمي لشركة لينوفو يأتي بالتزامن مع توسع أعمالها في المنطقة اللوجستية المتكاملة الخاصة بالرياض، التي تستقطب عدداً متزايداً من الشركات العالمية لتأسيس عملياتها المتقدمة في المملكة.
Investment Minister Fahd Al-Saif inaugurated today in Riyadh the regional headquarters of Lenovo for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, as part of the Kingdom's efforts to enhance its attractiveness as a regional hub for global companies, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
He explained that Lenovo's choice of the Kingdom as its regional headquarters reflects the strength of the Saudi economy and the attractiveness of its investment environment, as well as the rapid economic transformation it is witnessing, noting that this step represents a model for the success of the regional headquarters attraction program in attracting global companies and enabling them to manage their operations and expand in the region from the Kingdom. It also confirms the tremendous opportunities available for investors in the Kingdom and in the Middle East as a whole.
Employment, Localization, and Manufacturing
He indicated that the company is working through its regional headquarters to build a comprehensive presence in the Saudi market in collaboration with several national entities, which contributes to supporting its regional growth and meeting global demand, through the integration of a business ecosystem that combines decision-making, logistics services, and an enabling investment environment.
He pointed out that Lenovo's investments in the Kingdom include developing research and development programs and skill development, in addition to establishing a manufacturing platform with a production capacity of approximately 8 million units annually, which contributes to creating quality job opportunities and supporting the localization of technology and industry.
Al-Saif affirmed that these partnerships with global companies contribute to enhancing the Kingdom's position in global technology value chains, supporting national industry, accelerating knowledge transfer, and developing human competencies, in addition to providing a platform for international companies to expand and innovate in one of the fastest-growing markets in the region.
It is noteworthy that the inauguration of Lenovo's regional headquarters coincides with the expansion of its operations in the integrated logistics area in Riyadh, which attracts an increasing number of global companies to establish their advanced operations in the Kingdom.
