تدرس الحكومة الألمانية تداعيات ارتفاع أسعار المواد الغذائية على خلفية الحرب بين الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل من جانب وإيران من جانب آخر، إذ أعلن نائب رئيس الكتلة البرلمانية للحزب الاشتراكي الديمقراطي إزرا ليمباخر، أن فريق العمل المشترك بين التحالف المسيحي والحزب الاشتراكي الديمقراطي سيبدأ في فحص تكاليف الغذاء، بعد أن كان قد ركز أخيراً على الارتفاع الحاد في أسعار الوقود.
وقال ليمباخر في تصريحات لصحيفة «راينشه بوست» الألمانية: «يوماً بعد يوم يصبح من الواضح أن الحرب في إيران لن تنتهي سريعاً، ومن خلال ارتفاع أسعار الأسمدة والنقل، هناك خطر أن ترتفع أيضاً أسعار المواد الغذائية في المرحلة التالية».
الحد من التضخم
وأوضح ليمباخرأن فريق العمل سيناقش الأسبوع القادم إجراءات للحد من التضخم.
واقترح تنفيذ برنامج فوري لدعم منتجي الأسمدة المحليين، إلى جانب تطبيق تخفيفات ضريبية في قطاع المواد الغذائية. وقال: «التضخم سم للناس من ذوي الدخل العادي وللاقتصاد، وعلينا أن نقف إلى جانب شعبنا لحمايته».
وأضاف: «إذا لم تتدخل السياسة لمواجهة ذلك، فإن الحياة ستصبح أكثر تكلفة بشكل ملحوظ بالنسبة لكثير من الناس».
وتؤدي حرب إيران إلى ارتفاع تكاليف الطاقة والأسمدة والنقل، وهو ما قد ينعكس أيضاً على أسعار المواد الغذائية، حسبما يحذر خبراء.
The German government is studying the implications of rising food prices against the backdrop of the war between the United States and Israel on one side and Iran on the other. Deputy Chairman of the parliamentary group of the Social Democratic Party, Ezra Limbacher, announced that the joint task force between the Christian Democratic Union and the Social Democratic Party will begin examining food costs, after having recently focused on the sharp rise in fuel prices.
Limbacher stated in remarks to the German newspaper "Rheinische Post": "Day by day, it becomes clear that the war in Iran will not end quickly, and with the rising prices of fertilizers and transportation, there is a risk that food prices will also rise in the next phase."
Reducing Inflation
Limbacher explained that the task force will discuss measures to reduce inflation next week.
He proposed implementing an immediate program to support local fertilizer producers, along with applying tax relief in the food sector. He said: "Inflation is poison for ordinary-income people and for the economy, and we must stand by our people to protect them."
He added: "If politics does not intervene to address this, life will become significantly more expensive for many people."
The war in Iran is leading to rising costs of energy, fertilizers, and transportation, which could also reflect on food prices, experts warn.
