قفزت أسعار النفط بشكل حاد، بأكثر من 11 دولاراً قرب 119 دولاراً للبرميل، وارتفعت أسعار الغاز في أوروبا اليوم، بنسبة 35%، وذلك عقب هجمات شنتها إيران على منشآت طاقة في الشرق الأوسط، حيث أعلنت مؤسسة البترول الكويتية استهداف طائرة مسيّرة لوحدة تشغيلية في مصفاة ميناء الأحمدي، وسقوط مسيرة في مصفاة سامرف بميناء ينبع، وألحقت ضربات إيرانية أضراراً جسيمة بمدينة رأس لفان الصناعية، أكبر مركز لإنتاج وتصدير الغاز في العالم.
في حين أعلنت أبوظبي إغلاق مرافق حقل حبشان للغاز بعدما تسبب حطام ناتج عن اعتراض صاروخ في أضرار بالموقع.
فارق سعري
وارتفع خام غرب تكساس الوسيط الأمريكي بنحو 2.56 دولار أو بنسبة 2.66% ليصل إلى 98.88 دولار للبرميل، بعد مكاسب تجاوزت 3 دولارات، فيما صعد خام برنت بنحو 11.31 دولار، ما يعادل 10.53%، ليواصل التداول قرب مستوى 119 دولاراً للبرميل.
وأغلق خام برنت على ارتفاع بواقع 3.8% أمس، في حين كان خام غرب تكساس الوسيط مستقراً عند التسوية. ويتم تداول خام غرب تكساس الوسيط بأكبر فارق سعري عن خام برنت في 11 عاماً بسبب عمليات السحب من الاحتياطيات الإستراتيجية الأمريكية وارتفاع تكاليف الشحن، في حين دعمت الهجمات الجديدة على منشآت الطاقة في الشرق الأوسط خام برنت.
هجوم ثانٍ
وارتفعت أسعار عقد «تي تي إف» الهولندي للغاز الطبيعي والذي يعد مرجعياً في أوروبا، إلى 74 يورو قبل أن تتراجع قليلاً.
ويأتي ذلك بعدما ألحقت ضربات إيرانية أضراراً جسيمة بمدينة راس لفان الصناعية، أكبر مركز لإنتاج وتصدير الغاز في العالم.
وقالت السلطات إن صاروخاً إيرانياً أصاب المنشأة بعد اعتراض 4 صواريخ أخرى، في حين أعلنت أبوظبي إغلاق مرافق حقل حبشان للغاز بعدما تسبب حطام ناتج عن اعتراض صاروخ في أضرار بالموقع. وبعد ساعات فقط، وقع هجوم ثانٍ على رأس لفان فجر الخميس، تبعه اندلاع حريق كبير قالت قطر إنها تعمل على السيطرة عليه.
ترمب يحذر
وأوضحت شركة قطر للطاقة أن عدة مرافق للغاز المسال داخل المجمع أصيبت بشكل مباشر، ما تسبب في حرائق كبيرة وأضرار إضافية واسعة، مؤكدة في الوقت نفسه عدم وقوع إصابات بين العاملين الذين تم إجلاؤهم مسبقاً. لكن واشنطن دخلت على الخط، إذ حذر الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب من أن الولايات المتحدة سترد إذا تعرضت منشآت الغاز القطرية لهجوم جديد.
Oil prices surged sharply, by more than $11, nearing $119 per barrel, and gas prices in Europe rose today by 35%, following attacks launched by Iran on energy facilities in the Middle East. The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation announced that a drone targeted an operational unit at the Al-Ahmadi port refinery, and a drone fell at the Samref refinery in Yanbu, while Iranian strikes caused significant damage in the Ras Laffan industrial city, the largest center for gas production and export in the world.
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi announced the closure of facilities at the Habshan gas field after debris from an intercepted missile caused damage to the site.
Price Differential
West Texas Intermediate crude rose by about $2.56 or 2.66% to reach $98.88 per barrel, after gains exceeding $3, while Brent crude increased by about $11.31, equivalent to 10.53%, continuing to trade near the $119 per barrel level.
Brent crude closed up 3.8% yesterday, while West Texas Intermediate remained stable at settlement. West Texas Intermediate is trading at its largest price differential from Brent in 11 years due to withdrawals from U.S. strategic reserves and rising shipping costs, while the new attacks on energy facilities in the Middle East supported Brent crude.
Second Attack
The price of the Dutch TTF natural gas contract, which is a benchmark in Europe, rose to €74 before retreating slightly.
This comes after Iranian strikes caused significant damage in the Ras Laffan industrial city, the largest center for gas production and export in the world.
Authorities stated that an Iranian missile hit the facility after four other missiles were intercepted, while Abu Dhabi announced the closure of facilities at the Habshan gas field after debris from an intercepted missile caused damage to the site. Just hours later, a second attack occurred on Ras Laffan early Thursday, followed by a large fire that Qatar said it was working to control.
Trump Warns
Qatar Energy stated that several liquefied natural gas facilities within the complex were directly hit, causing large fires and additional extensive damage, while confirming that no injuries occurred among the workers who were evacuated in advance. However, Washington intervened, as U.S. President Donald Trump warned that the United States would respond if Qatari gas facilities were attacked again.
