تراجعت أسعار الذهب، اليوم، وسط ارتفاع الدولار وانحسار توقعات خفض مجلس الاحتياطي الاتحادي (البنك المركزي الأمريكي) لأسعار الفائدة في ديسمبر، في وقت يترقب فيه المستثمرون تقريرًا أمريكيًا للوظائف.
وهبط الذهب في المعاملات الفورية (0.1%) إلى (4077.13) دولار للأوقية (الأونصة).
وانخفضت العقود الأمريكية الآجلة للذهب تسليم ديسمبر (0.2%) إلى (4075.80) دولار للأوقية.
وارتفع مؤشر الدولار إلى أعلى مستوى في أكثر من أسبوعين مقابل عملات رئيسة، مما يجعل الذهب أكثر تكلفة لحائزي العملات الأخرى.
وبالنسبة للمعادن النفيسة الأخرى، ارتفعت الفضة في المعاملات الفورية (0.2%) إلى (51.44) دولار للأوقية، وزاد البلاتين (0.9%) إلى (1559.54) دولار، وصعد البلاديوم (1.1%) إلى (1395.37) دولار.
Gold prices fell today amid a rising dollar and diminishing expectations for the Federal Reserve (the U.S. central bank) to cut interest rates in December, as investors await a U.S. jobs report.
Gold dropped in spot transactions by (0.1%) to (4077.13) dollars per ounce.
U.S. gold futures for December delivery decreased by (0.2%) to (4075.80) dollars per ounce.
The dollar index rose to its highest level in over two weeks against major currencies, making gold more expensive for holders of other currencies.
As for other precious metals, silver rose in spot transactions by (0.2%) to (51.44) dollars per ounce, platinum increased by (0.9%) to (1559.54) dollars, and palladium climbed by (1.1%) to (1395.37) dollars.
