أعلن مكتب الإحصاء الفيدرالي السويسري، اليوم، أن معدل التضخم في سويسرا تباطأ بشكل غير متوقع خلال أكتوبر الماضي، بعد استقراره في الشهرين السابقين.
وارتفع مؤشر أسعار المستهلكين بنسبة 0.1% على أساس سنوي خلال أكتوبر الماضي، مقارنة بارتفاع بنسبة 0.2% خلال سبتمبر الماضي، فيما كان خبراء الاقتصاد يتوقعون ارتفاع معدل التضخم إلى 0.3%.
وتراجعت أسعار المواد الغذائية والمشروبات غير الكحولية بنسبة 0.5% مقارنة بالعام الماضي، كما تراجعت رسوم النقل بنسبة 1.7%.
في المقابل، ارتفعت تكاليف التعليم بنسبة 2.6%، كما ارتفعت أسعار المساكن والطاقة بنسبة 0.8%.
توقعات بالتراجع
وتراجع مؤشر أسعار المستهلكين بنسبة 0.3% على أساس شهري خلال أكتوبر الماضي، مقارنة بتراجع بنسبة 0.2% في سبتمبر الماضي، فيما كان خبراء الاقتصاد يتوقعون تراجعا بنسبة 0.1%.
وكان رئيس البنك الوطني السويسري مارتن شليغل وزملاؤه في البنك قد توقعوا في وقت سابق، ارتفاع التضخم بنهاية هذا العام وحتى عام 2026.
وجادلوا في اجتماعهم في سبتمبر الماضي بأن خفض أسعار الفائدة إلى الصفر في وقت سابق من هذا العام سيُؤدي إلى هذا التسارع في الوقت المناسب.
The Swiss Federal Statistical Office announced today that the inflation rate in Switzerland unexpectedly slowed down during October, after stabilizing in the previous two months.
The Consumer Price Index rose by 0.1% year-on-year in October, compared to an increase of 0.2% in September, while economists had expected the inflation rate to rise to 0.3%.
Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices decreased by 0.5% compared to last year, and transportation fees fell by 1.7%.
In contrast, education costs increased by 2.6%, and housing and energy prices rose by 0.8%.
Expectations of a Decline
The Consumer Price Index decreased by 0.3% month-on-month in October, compared to a decline of 0.2% in September, while economists had anticipated a decrease of 0.1%.
Swiss National Bank President Martin Schlegel and his colleagues at the bank had previously predicted an increase in inflation by the end of this year and through 2026.
They argued in their meeting last September that lowering interest rates to zero earlier this year would lead to this acceleration in due time.
