ارتفعت الأسهم الأوروبية، بعد قفزة بلغت 1% في الجلسة السابقة، في وقت يركز فيه المستثمرون على نتائج أعمال الشركات.
وارتفع المؤشر ستوكس 600 الأوروبي 0.1% إلى 572.56 نقطة بحلول الساعة 0711 بتوقيت جرينتش.
وزاد مؤشر البنوك الأوروبية 0.5%، في حين تقدم مؤشر ستوكس لقطاع الطيران والدفاع 0.4%، بينما انخفض قطاعا الرعاية الصحية والتكنولوجيا 0.2% لكل منهما.
وواصلت أسهم شركات الدفاع ارتفاعها، إذ صعد مؤشر «ستوكس يوروب» لقطاع الطيران والدفاع بنحو 0.2% في التعاملات المبكرة.
وجاءت مكاسب قطاع الدفاع الإقليمي امتداداً للمكاسب القوية التي سُجّلت يوم الإثنين، وتبدأ هذا الأسبوع ذروة موسم إعلان نتائج الربع الثالث
أسهم أمريكا
وعلى الصعيد العالمي، ارتفعت العقود الآجلة للأسهم الأمريكية بشكل طفيف خلال الليل، بعد مكاسب واسعة في جلسة الاثنين، في وقتٍ يترقّب فيه المستثمرون أسبوعاً مزدحماً بإعلانات الأرباح.
وفي آسيا، واصلت الأسواق تداولاتها على ارتفاع خلال الليل، إذ صعد مؤشر «كوسبي» الكوري الجنوبي بأكثر من 2% مسجّلاً مستوى قياسياً جديداً للجلسة السادسة على التوالي، مدعوماً بتفاؤلٍ متزايد حيال قرب التوصّل إلى اتفاقٍ تجاري مع الولايات المتحدة.
وتأتي المكاسب بعد تصريحات أدلى بها وزير الخزانة الأمريكي سكوت بيسنت في مقابلة مع «CNBC» الأسبوع الماضي، قال فيها إنّ واشنطن «على وشك إنهاء» المفاوضات التجارية مع سيول.
European stocks rose after a 1% jump in the previous session, as investors focus on corporate earnings results.
The Stoxx 600 index rose 0.1% to 572.56 points by 0711 GMT.
The European banking index increased by 0.5%, while the Stoxx index for the aerospace and defense sector advanced by 0.4%, whereas the healthcare and technology sectors each declined by 0.2%.
Shares of defense companies continued to rise, with the Stoxx Europe index for the aerospace and defense sector climbing about 0.2% in early trading.
The gains in the regional defense sector followed strong gains recorded on Monday, as this week marks the peak of the third-quarter earnings announcement season.
U.S. Stocks
Globally, U.S. stock futures rose slightly overnight after broad gains in Monday's session, as investors anticipate a busy week of earnings announcements.
In Asia, markets continued to trade higher overnight, with South Korea's KOSPI index rising more than 2%, marking a new record level for the sixth consecutive session, supported by increasing optimism about a potential trade agreement with the United States.
The gains follow comments made by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Pruitt in an interview with CNBC last week, in which he stated that Washington is "on the verge of concluding" trade negotiations with Seoul.
