President Donald Trump emphasized to the United Kingdom to drill for more oil instead of building wind turbines, just two weeks after signing a trade agreement with London.

Trump wrote on the social media platform Truth Social: "Our trade agreement with the United Kingdom is yielding good results for everyone, and I advise them to reduce energy costs by stopping the focus on expensive windmills and encouraging modern drilling operations in the North Sea, as there are large quantities of oil to be extracted."

While the Trump administration focuses on fossil fuels and energy policy has become a key part of his agenda in his second term, Britain has pledged to become a superpower in clean energy and has directed its economy towards renewable energy sources.
