انتقلت إلى رحمة الله تعالى الكاتبة الدكتورة هيفاء أحمد اليافي، حرم وزير الصحة وسفير المملكة لدى ألمانيا سابقاً الدكتور أسامة بن عبدالمجيد شبكشي.
ونعت المذيعة أمينة العبدالله الفقيدة عبر حسابها، معربة عن حزنها لرحيل والدة صديقتها مايا، ومشيرة إلى أن فقد الأم يمثل خسارة كبيرة للسند والحنان، وأن ذكراها ستظل حاضرة في حياة أبنائها وذكرياتهم، داعية الله أن يجبر قلوب أسرتها ومحبيها.
وتُعد الراحلة من الشخصيات الثقافية والاجتماعية التي أسهمت في مجالات الكتابة الصحفية والعمل الاجتماعي والتنموي؛ إذ تولت لسنوات رئاسة قسم الترشيح والدراسات الميدانية في الفرع النسائي لوزارة الخدمة المدنية بجدة، وأسهمت في إعداد دراسات ميدانية هدفت إلى تمكين المرأة وفتح مجالات العمل أمامها في القطاعات الإدارية والاجتماعية والصحية.
كما كان لها حضور فكري وثقافي من خلال كتاباتها وإسهاماتها الاجتماعية، إلى جانب مساندتها لزوجها الراحل الدكتور أسامة شبكشي خلال مسيرته في المناصب القيادية والتمثيل الدبلوماسي للمملكة.
والفقيدة والدة مايا أسامة شبكشي، حرم الدكتور هيثم طلال جمجوم، وشقيقة المهندس طارق، والدكتور عبدالله، والدكتور وليد، ولمياء وعبدالمجيد، وعائشة، ويوسف، وماجد أبناء أحمد اليافي، وجدة طلال وتالة هيثم جمجوم.
ومن المقرر أن يُصلّى على الفقيدة بعد صلاة (الجمعة) في مسجد الجفالي، ثم يُوارى جثمانها الثرى في مقبرة أمنا حواء بجدة.
ويُقام عزاء الرجال لمدة يومين، ابتداءً من غد (السبت)، بعد صلاة المغرب في مسجد أبي بكر الصديق بحي الزهراء في جدة.

The writer Dr. Haifa Ahmed Al-Yafi has passed away, the wife of the former Minister of Health and Ambassador of the Kingdom to Germany, Dr. Osama bin Abdulmajid Shabkshi.
The broadcaster Amina Al-Abdullah mourned the deceased through her account, expressing her sadness over the passing of her friend Maya's mother, and noting that losing a mother represents a great loss of support and affection, and that her memory will remain present in the lives and memories of her children, praying to God to comfort her family and loved ones.
The late writer was considered one of the cultural and social figures who contributed to the fields of journalism and social and developmental work; she held the position of head of the nomination and field studies department in the women's branch of the Ministry of Civil Service in Jeddah for many years, and contributed to preparing field studies aimed at empowering women and opening job opportunities for them in administrative, social, and health sectors.
She also had an intellectual and cultural presence through her writings and social contributions, in addition to supporting her late husband, Dr. Osama Shabkshi, during his career in leadership positions and diplomatic representation of the Kingdom.
The deceased is the mother of Maya Osama Shabkshi, the wife of Dr. Haitham Talal Jamjoom, and sister of Engineer Tarek, Dr. Abdullah, Dr. Walid, and Lameya, Abdulmajid, Aisha, Yusuf, and Majid, the children of Ahmed Al-Yafi, and grandmother of Talal and Tala Haitham Jamjoom.
The funeral prayer for the deceased is scheduled to take place after Friday prayers at Al-Jafali Mosque, followed by her burial at the Ummna Hawwa Cemetery in Jeddah.
The men's condolence gathering will be held for two days, starting tomorrow (Saturday), after Maghrib prayer at Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque in the Al-Zahra neighborhood of Jeddah.
“Okaz,” which was saddened by the news, extends its heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased, asking God, the Almighty, to envelop her in His vast mercy and forgiveness, to grant her a place in His spacious gardens, and to inspire her family with patience and solace.
