وقال ترمب: «إن الصين أبلغت واشنطن بنيتها فرض قيود واسعة النطاق على الصادرات اعتباراً من الأول من نوفمبر القادم، لتشمل معظم المنتجات التي تصنعها، وحتى بعض السلع التي لا تنتجها فعلياً».

وأضاف: «أدرس زيادة هائلة في الرسوم على الواردات الصينية ولا سبب للاجتماع مع شي، والولايات المتحدة سترد بالمثل في التاريخ نفسه عبر فرض قيود على صادرات البرمجيات الحيوية». في خطوة قد تشعل جولة جديدة من التوترات التجارية بين أكبر اقتصادين في العالم.
وجاءت التصريحات لتدفع بيتكوين وغيرها من العملات الرقمية الكبرى إلى خسائر فورية، مع تزايد المخاوف من اضطرابات اقتصادية تؤثر على شهية المستثمرين للأصول عالية المخاطر.

Trump stated, "China has informed Washington of its intention to impose widespread export restrictions starting from November 1, covering most products it manufactures, and even some goods it does not actually produce."
Trade Tensions
He added, "I am considering a massive increase in tariffs on Chinese imports and there is no reason to meet with Xi, and the United States will respond in kind on the same date by imposing restrictions on critical software exports." This move could ignite a new round of trade tensions between the world's two largest economies.
The statements led to immediate losses for Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies, as fears of economic disruptions increased, affecting investors' appetite for high-risk assets.
