أعلنت وزارة التجارة الصينية، في بيان لها، أن بكين ستتخذ الإجراءات الضرورية للدفاع عن حقوقها ومصالحها، وذلك رداً على تحرك الولايات المتحدة لحثّ مجموعة السبع على فرض رسوم جمركية تصل إلى 100% بسبب شرائها النفط الروسي.
ووصفت الوزارة الخطوة الأمريكية بأنها شكل من أشكال التنمّر والإكراه الاقتصادي، محذّرة من أن ذلك قد يترك أثراً خطيراً على التجارة العالمية.
كما أعربت الصين عن أملها في أن تتوخى الولايات المتحدة الحذر في أقوالها وأفعالها، وأن تعمل على حل الخلافات عبر الحوار.
توترات تجارية
وتواصلت المحادثات التجارية الأمريكية-الصينية في مدريد لليوم الثاني، لمناقشة التوترات التجارية واقتراب الموعد النهائي لتخارج الصين من تطبيق الفيديوهات القصيرة «تيك توك»، وسط مطالب من واشنطن لحلفائها بفرض رسوم جمركية على الواردات من الصين بسبب مشترياتها من النفط الروسي.
وهذه الجولة تعد الرابعة خلال أربعة أشهر. وكانت محادثات الأمس قد استمرت نحو 6 ساعات من دون مؤشرات على إحراز تقدم. ويترأس الوفدين وزير الخزانة الأمريكي سكوت بيسنت، ونائب رئيس الوزراء الصيني خه لي فنغ.
تفاصيل فنية
وقال وزير الخزانة الأمريكي سكوت بيسنت إن بلاده اقتربت من عقد اتفاق بشأن تطبيق «تيك توك»، مؤكداً تحقيق تقدم جيد للغاية في التفاصيل الفنية مع الصين، مشيراً إلى أن الجوانب التقنية لمحادثات الجانبين شهدت تقدماً ملموساً.
وأضاف الوزير أن الولايات المتحدة قريبة جداً من حل المشكلة بشأن صفقة تيك توك، لافتاً إلى أن العلاقات مع الصين جيدة ولن تتأثر بعدم التوصل إلى اتفاق حول التطبيق.
وتأتي هذه الجولة ضمن سلسلة اجتماعات بين الجانبين عُقدت في مدن أوروبية منذ مايو الماضي، في محاولة لتسوية الخلافات التي دفعت الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب إلى زيادة الرسوم الجمركية على الواردات الصينية، وما أعقبها من رد صيني شمل فرض رسوم مرتفعة على السلع الأمريكية ووقف تصدير المعادن النادرة إلى الولايات المتحدة.
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced in a statement that Beijing will take necessary measures to defend its rights and interests in response to the United States' move to urge the G7 to impose tariffs of up to 100% due to its purchase of Russian oil.
The ministry described the American step as a form of bullying and economic coercion, warning that it could have serious repercussions on global trade.
China also expressed hope that the United States would exercise caution in its words and actions and work to resolve disputes through dialogue.
Trade Tensions
U.S.-China trade talks continued in Madrid for the second day, discussing trade tensions and the approaching deadline for China's exit from the short video application "TikTok," amid demands from Washington for its allies to impose tariffs on imports from China due to its purchases of Russian oil.
This round is the fourth in four months. Yesterday's talks lasted about 6 hours with no signs of progress. The delegations are headed by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Pruitt and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng.
Technical Details
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Pruitt stated that the country is close to reaching an agreement regarding the "TikTok" application, confirming significant progress in technical details with China, noting that the technical aspects of the talks between the two sides have seen tangible progress.
The secretary added that the United States is very close to resolving the issue regarding the TikTok deal, pointing out that relations with China are good and will not be affected by the failure to reach an agreement on the application.
This round is part of a series of meetings between the two sides held in European cities since last May, in an attempt to settle the disputes that led U.S. President Donald Trump to increase tariffs on Chinese imports, followed by a Chinese response that included imposing high tariffs on American goods and halting the export of rare metals to the United States.
