هاجم الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب مجموعة بريكس التي تضم 11 دولة، أبرزها البرازيل وروسيا والهند والصين، متوعداً بفرض رسوم جمركية إضافية بنسبة 10% على الدول التي تتبنى سياساتها.
وكتب ترمب على منصته «تروث سوشيال»: «أية دولة تصطف مع سياسات مجموعة بريكس المعادية لأمريكا سيتم فرض رسوم جمركية إضافية عليها بنسبة 10%. ولن تكون هناك استثناءات لهذه السياسة».
وأكد ترمب في منشور آخر أنه سيبدأ بإرسال أول دفعة من الرسائل إلى دول عدة في أنحاء العالم لحضها إما للتوصل إلى اتفاق تجاري أو مواجهة فرض رسوم باهظة على سلعها.
فيما انتقد قادة دول مجموعة بريكس في قمتهم المنعقدة في ريو دي جانيرو الرسوم الجمركية التي فرضها الرئيس دونالد ترمب على شركاء بلاده التجاريين، كما نددوا بالضربات العسكرية الأخيرة على إيران.
وجاء في إعلان مشترك صادر عن القمة في يومها الأول: «نعرب عن قلقنا الشديد إزاء تزايد الإجراءات الجمركية وغير الجمركية المُشوّهة للتجارة».
ويعقد قادة مجموعة الدول الناشئة الكبرى الـ11، ومن بينها البرازيل والصين والهند وروسيا وجنوب أفريقيا، اجتماعهم السنوي الذي يستمر يومين وسط إجراءات أمنية مشددة في خليج غوانابارا، على وقع تلويح ترمب بزيادة الرسوم الجمركية.
واعتبرت المجموعة أن هذه الرسوم غير قانونية وتعسفية، وتُهدد «بالحد من التجارة العالمية بشكل إضافي، وتعطيل سلاسل التوريد، وإدخال حالة من عدم اليقين إلى الأنشطة الاقتصادية والتجارية الدولية».
وتُمثل الدول الناشئة الـ11 التي تشكل مجموعة بريكس، وبينها البرازيل وروسيا والهند والصين وجنوب أفريقيا، نحو نصف سكان العالم، و40% من الناتج الاقتصادي العالمي.

The American President Donald Trump attacked the BRICS group, which includes 11 countries, most notably Brazil, Russia, India, and China, threatening to impose an additional 10% tariff on countries that adopt its policies.
Trump wrote on his platform "Truth Social": "Any country that aligns with the anti-American policies of the BRICS group will face an additional 10% tariff. There will be no exceptions to this policy."
In another post, Trump confirmed that he would begin sending the first batch of letters to several countries around the world urging them either to reach a trade agreement or face hefty tariffs on their goods.
Meanwhile, the leaders of the BRICS countries criticized the tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump on his country's trading partners during their summit held in Rio de Janeiro, and they condemned the recent military strikes on Iran.
A joint statement issued on the first day of the summit stated: "We express our deep concern regarding the increasing distorted tariff and non-tariff measures affecting trade."
The leaders of the 11 major emerging economies, including Brazil, China, India, Russia, and South Africa, are holding their annual two-day meeting under tight security in Guanabara Bay, amid Trump's threats to raise tariffs.
The group considered these tariffs to be illegal and arbitrary, threatening "to further restrict global trade, disrupt supply chains, and introduce uncertainty into international economic and trade activities."
