أعلن وزير الخزانة الأمريكي سكوت بيسنت، أنه يتوقع إبرام عدد من الاتفاقات الإقليمية نتيجة محادثات تجارية حالية وسط فترة تعليق الرسوم الجمركية لمدة 90 يوماً.
وقال بيسنت، اليوم (الأحد): «توقيت أي معدلات نهائية للرسوم الجمركية سيعتمد على ما إذا كانت الدول تتفاوض بحسن نية».
وأوضح أن إدارة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب تركز على أهم العلاقات التجارية للولايات المتحدة وعددها 18 دولة.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب قد أعلن في وقت سابق أن هناك 150 دولة ترغب في إبرام صفقات تجارية مع الولايات المتحدة، بعد تعليق الرسوم الجمركية التبادلية على أغلب دول العالم.
وأضاف الرئيس الأمريكي في تصريحات أدلى بها أخيراً، أن وزير الخزانة «سكوت بيسنت» سيتواصل مع الدول التي تريد إبرام الاتفاقيات التجارية، بحسب ما ذكرته «بلومبيرغ».
وتابع أن الاتفاق التجاري مع الصين لا يزال في طور التشكيل، مؤكداً رغبة بكين في توقيعه لتجنب التعريفات الجمركية المرتفعة.
يُذكر أن الولايات المتحدة والصين توصلتا إلى اتفاق تجاري أولي يقضي بتعليق أغلب الرسوم الجمركية التبادلية لمدة 90 يوماً، لحين التوصل إلى صفقة أوسع نطاقاً.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Pisent announced that he expects a number of regional agreements to be reached as a result of current trade talks amid a 90-day suspension of tariffs.
Pisent said today (Sunday): "The timing of any final tariff rates will depend on whether countries are negotiating in good faith."
He explained that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump is focusing on the most important trade relationships for the United States, which involve 18 countries.
Earlier, President Donald Trump announced that 150 countries are interested in making trade deals with the United States, following the suspension of reciprocal tariffs on most countries worldwide.
The U.S. president added in recent statements that Treasury Secretary "Scott Pisent" will communicate with countries that want to enter into trade agreements, according to what was reported by "Bloomberg".
He continued that the trade agreement with China is still in the works, emphasizing Beijing's desire to sign it to avoid high tariffs.
It is worth noting that the United States and China reached a preliminary trade agreement to suspend most reciprocal tariffs for 90 days, pending a broader deal.
