أثار الممثل الصيني هو شيانغ موجة واسعة من الجدل على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي في الصين، بعد تداول صورة من حفل زفافه ظهر فيها بملامح طفولية لدرجة دفع البعض للاعتقاد بأنه طفل في نحو الـ12 من عمره.
ووفق صحيفة «ساوث تشاينا بوست»، لم يتأثر شيانغ بالتعليقات الساخرة والتنمر الإلكتروني، مستنداً إلى تجربة شخصية طويلة مع نظرات المجتمع منذ طفولته.
وتعود حالته النادرة إلى ولادته في ظروف صحية صعبة نتيجة سوء تغذية تعرضت له والدته أثناء الحمل، ما أثر على نموه الجسدي لاحقاً. ورغم أن نموه توقف تقريباً عند سن التاسعة، احتفظ بملامح وصوت طفوليين حتى بعد بلوغه، الأمر الذي جعله عرضة دائماً لأسئلة تتعلق بسنّه وحياته الدراسية.
ورغم هذه التحديات، لم يتوقف هو شيانغ عن متابعة طموحه الفني، إذ دخل مجال التمثيل بدعم من عائلته، وبرز لأول مرة عام 2005 عندما أدى دور تلميذ في المرحلة الابتدائية ضمن مسلسل كوميدي ناجح، رغم أنه كان في الـ19 من عمره آنذاك.
ويقرّ الفنان الصيني بأن مظهره يحد من تنوع الأدوار التي يمكنه تقديمها، لكنه يؤكد في الوقت نفسه أنه يسعى لاستثمار هذه الخصوصية لإثبات حضوره الفني، معتبراً النجاح في هذا الإطار الضيق إنجازاً بحد ذاته.
The Chinese actor He Xiang has sparked widespread controversy on social media platforms in China after a photo from his wedding circulated, in which he appeared with such youthful features that some believed he was a child around 12 years old.
According to the "South China Post," Xiang was not affected by the mocking comments and cyberbullying, relying on a long personal experience with societal looks since his childhood.
His rare condition is attributed to being born under difficult health circumstances due to malnutrition that his mother experienced during pregnancy, which affected his physical growth later on. Although his growth nearly stopped at the age of nine, he retained childlike features and a youthful voice even after reaching adulthood, which has always made him susceptible to questions regarding his age and academic life.
Despite these challenges, He Xiang did not stop pursuing his artistic ambition, as he entered the acting field with the support of his family, first gaining prominence in 2005 when he played the role of an elementary school student in a successful comedy series, even though he was 19 years old at the time.
The Chinese artist acknowledges that his appearance limits the variety of roles he can portray, but he simultaneously affirms that he seeks to leverage this uniqueness to establish his artistic presence, considering success within this narrow framework an achievement in itself.
