أعلنت نقابة الفنانين في سورية وفاة الملحن الباحث الموسيقي عثمان الحناوي، شقيق الفنانة السورية ميادة الحناوي، في بيان نعت فيه الراحل، وقدمت تعازيها للفنانة وأفراد أسرتها.نعي نقابة الفنانين في سوريةوجاء في بيان النقابة عبر صفحتها الرسمية على موقع «فيسبوك»: «تعازينا القلبية للزميلة الفنانة القديرة ميادة الحناوي بوفاة شقيقها الباحث الموسيقي عثمان الحناوي. إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون».سبب الوفاةمن جانبه، كشف الفنان السوري قاسم ملحو سبب وفاة الراحل، موضحاً في منشور عبر حسابه على «فيسبوك» أن عثمان الحناوي عانى من المرض في أيامه الأخيرة، داعياً جمهوره ومحبيه للدعاء له بالرحمة والمغفرة.ويعد عثمان الحناوي من الشخصيات المعروفة في الوسط الفني السوري، إذ يرتبط اسمه بشقيقته الفنانة الكبيرة ميادة الحناوي، أحد أبرز الأصوات الغنائية في سورية والوطن العربي، وقدم العديد من الأعمال المميزة التي تركت بصمة خاصة في قلوب محبيه.

The Artists' Syndicate in Syria announced the death of the composer and music researcher Othman Al-Hanawi, the brother of Syrian artist Mayada Al-Hanawi, in a statement mourning the deceased and offering condolences to the artist and her family. The Artists' Syndicate's obituary stated on its official page on Facebook: "Our heartfelt condolences to our esteemed colleague, the artist Mayada Al-Hanawi, on the death of her brother, the music researcher Othman Al-Hanawi. Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we shall return." Cause of Death On his part, Syrian artist Qassem Malhouf revealed the cause of the late artist's death, explaining in a post on his Facebook account that Othman Al-Hanawi suffered from illness in his final days, calling on his audience and fans to pray for him for mercy and forgiveness. Othman Al-Hanawi is considered one of the well-known figures in the Syrian artistic community, as his name is associated with his sister, the great artist Mayada Al-Hanawi, one of the most prominent singing voices in Syria and the Arab world, and he presented many distinguished works that left a special mark in the hearts of his admirers.
