The Egyptian artist Mona Zaki revealed details about her return to drama after a four-year absence with her new series "Tali' Nazil," in which she stars alongside artist Mohamed Shaheen. The series is set to premiere on October 10th, and she pointed out that the work addresses a range of marital and psychological conflicts through a relationship that appears stable on the surface before the events reveal secrets that turn the lives of its protagonists upside down.
Shaheen's Character
For his part, artist Mohamed Shaheen spoke about the character "Ali" that he portrays in "Tali' Nazil," and his relationship with the character "Nora," played by Mona Zaki, explaining that the two characters initially seem to be living a successful and stable life.
Shaheen said: "Nora and Ali are the characters who have changed and wish to live a quarter of their lives. He reached his dream and became the most famous musician in Egypt; they had everything, but a person is greedy."
These statements reflect the nature of the conflict presented in the series, as it begins from a life that seems complete from the outside before the events reveal desires, secrets, and decisions that lead the marital relationship down a different path.
Events of "Tali' Nazil"
The events of the series revolve around a musician who lives what appears to be a stable married life with his wife, a strong businesswoman who owns a major company. The couple agrees at the beginning of their relationship not to have children.
However, the wife secretly harbors a genuine desire to start a family before her life suddenly turns upside down after discovering her husband's betrayal and his secret marriage to another woman.
The wife finds herself facing a harsh shock, pushing her into a psychological struggle between the pain of betrayal and maintaining her dignity, while the events gradually escalate into an open confrontation, placing her before multiple possibilities, including the desire for revenge and regaining control of her life.
The series does not stop at the moment of discovering the betrayal but focuses on the phase that follows, and the psychological effects the experience leaves on the main character as she tries to cope with the shock and regain her balance and dignity.
Cast and Crew of the Series
Alongside Mona Zaki and Mohamed Shaheen, the cast of "Tali' Nazil" includes Mariam El Khasht, Leila Ezz El Arab, Mimi Gamal, and Hamza Diab. It is written by Samah Ahmed Abdel Khalek and Engy El Qassem, and directed by Hani Khalifa.
